The regular quarterly meeting of the Police and Fire Commission of the City of
Muskego was held on Thursday, July 13, 1989, in the conference room of the
Police Department. The meeting was called to order at 7:36PM by President
and Blenda Treba; and Chief Johnson. Commissioner DeBack was absent.
Kreuser. Present were Commissioners Robert Kreuser, James Haag, Richard Horn,
accepted as published. Seconded by Commissioner Treba. Motion carried
Commissioner Haag moved that the minutes of the April 13, 1989 meeting be
unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS: There was none. . . . . . . . .

Correspondence: There was none.
Chief Johnson reported the following information:
1. Lightning struck the police station on July 9 causing over $15,000 damage
to the radios, computers, recording machines, furnace, and phones. One
person is claiming injury but has returned to work.
2. Officer Esser underwent open heart surgery and will be off duty for
approximately eight weeks.
3. Officer Zambo has completed Recruit School and is presently on patrol.
4. Work has begun on the 1990 budget, copies of which will be sent to the
Commissioners when completed. One new position will be requested.
5. Accreditation for the department will possibly be included in the 1990
budget.
6. The possibility of joining with other communities in Waukesha County to
form a joint communication center is being explored. This would enable
the cutting of updating technology costs.
Commissioner Haag moved that the meeting be adjourned to 7:30PM on Thursday,
October 12, 1989. Seconded by Commissioner Horn. Motion carried unanimously.
