City of Muskego was held on Thursday, April 23, 1987, in the conference room
The regular quarterly meeting of the Police and Fire Commission of the

President Purdy. Present were President Purdy; Secretary Kreuser;
Commissioners Richard Horn and Blenda Treba; and Chief Johnson. Commissioner
James Haag was absent.

carried unanimously.
Chief Johnson reported the following:
1. The remodeling of the clerical area of the station was completed.
' 2. Three new marked squad cars were purchased in consortium with other
county police departments. The colors were changed from the metallic
blue with white front doors to all white cars with a royal blue and
gold stripe on the sides.
3. David Hendrickson was hired to replace Christopher Jones who resigned
as police officer effective March 29, 1987. Hendrickson will be
attending Recruit School commencing May 4.
OLD BUSINESS:
President Purdy reported that he received an anonymous letter regarding
the Muskego Fire Department donating an old fire truck to another department.
Since the Commission has no jurisdiction over a volunteer fire department the
letter was placed on file with no action taken.
Commissioner Kreuser inquired about the police bike patrol. Chief
Johnson reported that the program has one more year of funding under the
original grant. Officers are continuing to participate in the bike patrol as
much as time allows.
NEW BUSINESS:
Hendrickson. Seconded by Commissioner Treba. Motion carried unanimously.
