pfcm19840719POLICE AND FIFE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO July 19, 1984 Ihe regular quarterly meeting of the Police and Fire Commission of the City of Muskego was held on Thursday, July 19, 1984, in the confer- ence room of the Police Department. The meeting was called to order at 8:07PM by President Swarthout. Present were President Swarthout, Secre- tary Young, Walter Bohrer, Richard Horn, Robert Kreuser, and Chief Scholz. Mr. KKeuSeK stated that since the Commissioners had received and read the minutes of the April 17, 1984 meeting prior to tonight's meet- ing, he moved that the minutes of the April 17, 1984 meeting be approved as written. Seconded by Mr. Horn. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Tony Zinski of W193 S7137 Hillview, Muskego. appeared before the Commission in reference to complaints against the department. After Mr. Zinski left, a discussion was held on Mr Zinski's complaint and on the public relations of the department. A letter is to be sent to Mr. Zlnski signed by the President of the Comlssion. The newly appointed police officer, Sherri Besson, was introduced to the Commissioners. OLD BUSINESS: Chief Scholz reports a new eligibility list is needed as there is no one left on the present one. Mr. Kreuser moved that following the same procedure for hiring as in the past, a new eligibility list be established limiting it to the first 100 qualified applications received. Seconded by Mr. Horn. Motion carried unanimously. Applications are to close on August 17 at 4:OOPM. Zhe written test will be administered by the Wisconsin City and County Testing Service on September 8. After the mitten test results are received, a special meeting of the Commission is to be called. Mr. Horn moved to table by Mr. Young. Motion carried NEW BUSINESS: Mr. Young submitted his the optional Commission powers. Seconded unanimously . letter of resignation from the Commission which was accepted regretfully. CORRESPONDENCE: ' President Swarthout reports receiving complaints reference the loud music at the Family Connection Tavern. Mr. Horn requested information on high speed chases. Chief Scholz explained the department's policy. The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for October 18, 1984. Mr. Young moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Mr. Bohrer.
