April 22, 1982
The regular quarterly meeting of the Police and Fire Commission
of the City of Muskego was held on Thursday, April 22. 1982, in the
conference room of the Muskego Police Department. The meeting was
called to order by President Horn at 8:05PM. Present were President
Horn, Marsha Swarthout, Blenda Treba, Robert Kreuser and Chief Scholz.
Walter Bohrer was absent,
A guest, Mr. Frank DeAngelis, was introduced.
The minutes of the January 21, 1982 meeting were read. Motion
was made by Blenda Treba to approve these minutes. Seconded by Robert
Kreuser. Motion carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS: There was no old business.
NEW BUSINESS: Chief Scholz reported the following:
1. Officer Ken Putt graduated from Recruit School in March and was
now assigned to work the Relief Shift.
2. Officer Paul Manske was transferred to the Day Shift effective
April 1, 1982.
3. Sgt. Gifford has been assigned the training officer's duties.
4. Lt. Johnson will be operated on for a hernia on April 27 as a
result of an injury received while making an arrest in November
1981.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS: Mr. Kreuser made a motion that the officers
of the Muskego Police and Fire Commission, consisting of the President
and the Vice President/Secretary, be elected annually at the April
quarterly meeting. Seconded by Marsha Swarthout. Motion carried

unanimously.
Mr. Kreuser made the motion that the present officers, President
Horn arid Vice President/Secretary Swarthout, be elected to serve
another term. Seconded by Blenda Treba. Motion carried unanimously.
A discussion was held on the role the Commissioners play in
disciplinary hearings. Copies of the manual for police and fire
commissioners are to be sent to all commissioners.
Chief Scholz reported that should an opening for patrol officer
occur, it possibly could be filled by the present cadet, Michael Robarge,
as he does have the qualifications.
There was no correspondence.
Mr. Kreuser suggested that copies of the minutes of the previous
meeting be included with the mailing of the meeting notices and
agendas.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for Thursday,
July 15, 1982.
Mr. Kreuser moved that the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by
Marsha Swarthout. Motion carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 8:55PM.
