The regular quarterly meeting of the Police and Fire Commission
of the City of Muskego was held on Thursday, January 21, 1982. in the
conference room of the Muskego Police Department. The meeting was
called to order by President Horn at 8:03PM. Present were President
Horn, Marsha Swarthout. Blenda Treba, and Chief Scholz. Mr. Bohrer
and Mr. Kreuser were absent.
The minutes of the September 22, 1981 meeting were read. Motion
was made by Marsha Swarthout to approve the minutes. Seconded by
Blenda Treba. Motion carried unanimously.
The minutes of the special meeting of December 15, 1981 were
read. Marsha Swarthout made the motion that the minutes be accepted
as read. Seconded by,Blenda Treba. Motion carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS: Chief Scholz leported that the grievance filed by the
police officers' association on the hours for Team 5 seems to4ormant
or forgotten. One member of Team 5 was promoted to Sergeant and the
other member seems unconcerned about it. It was decided in negotia-
tions that the hours for Team 5 will be listed in the 1982 contract.
Chief Scholz reported that all members of the department who had
been on leave for injury on duty or sick leave have returned to duty.
NEW BUSINESS: Chief Scholz reported the following:
1. That Cadet Kenny Putt, based on the approval of the Police and
Fire Commission, the Finance Committee. and the Common Council,
was promoted to police officer effective January 18, 1982. On
that date he started Police Recruit School at W.C.T.I. with
graduation to be held in March.

2. The Common Council approved the Cadet's position and Michael
Robarge was appointed to fill that vacancy effective January 18.
Mr. Robarge was hired from the eligibility list for cadets.
3. Officer Larson was transferred to Team 5.
4. One of the officers will be assigned as a Training Officer.
This assignment is being started to improve the continuity of
training programs and promote more roll'call training.
5. 57% of the Part I crimes in 1981 were cleared.
Muskego Resolution 182-81 was read. It was the appointment of
Robert Kreuser to the Muskego Police and Fire Commission to fill the
vacancy caused by the death of Comissioner Warren Moser.
It was a unanimous decision that a new eligibility list for
police officers will not be made until there is an opening.
Marsha Swarthout moved that the election of officers for the
Commission be tabled until the next meeting. Seconded by Blenda
Treba. Motion carried unanimously.
A thank you note from Chief Dzibinski was read.
The next quarterly meeting for the Commission is scheduled for
April 22, 1982.
Blenda Treba moved that the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by
Marsha Swarthout. Motion carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50PM.
