CITY. OF MUSKEG0
June 18, 1981
A special closed session of the Muskego Police and Fire Commission
was held on Thursday, June 18, 1981, in the conference room of the Muskego
Police Department. The meeting was called to order at 8:12PM by President
Horn. Present were Mr. Horn, Mr. Bohrer, Mr. Lindner, Mr. Moser and Chief
Scholz. Absent was Mrs. Swarthout.
This special meeting was called for the purpose of establishing pro-
cedures for the hiring of a cadet to fill the vacancy caused by the pro-
motion of Eric Pedersen to the position of telecomunicator.
It was reported that 54 applications for the cadet's position were
received. Thirty-six of these candidates took the written test, adminis-
tered by the State Board of Personnel, on June 13.
Mr. Lindner made the motion that the oral interviews for the cadet's
position be conducted at 20 minute intervals starting at 7:OOPM on June 29
and 30, 1981, for the 12 qualifying candidates with the passing score of
76 or above on the written test. Seconded by Mr. Bohrer. The motion
carried unanimously.
The Oral Board will consist of Lt. Zabel, Commissioners Horn, Moser
and Swarthout with Commissioner Bohrer also being present. Each inter-
viewer is to compose three questions to ask the candidates. The Oral Board
will meet at 6:OOPM on June 29 tolover the questions and have the questions
typed so they can be distributed to each candidate five minutes prior to his
interview. The composite score for the tests will count 70% for the oral
interview and 30% for the written test as determined by the motion of the
Commissioners at a previous meeting.
