pfcm19770721POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MUSKEG0 July 21, 1977 The Police and Fire Commission's quarterly meeting of Thursday, July 21, 1977, was called to order by President Ahrens at 8:08PM at the Muskego City Hall. Mr. Ahrens, Mr. Bohrer, Mr. Horn, Mr. Moser and Chief Kraus were present with Mr. Lindner being absent. Mr. Moser moved to retain the present officers of the Commission for the ensuing year. Seconded by Mr. Bohrer. Motion carried unanimously. Thus for the next year Mr. William Ahrens will serve as President of the Commission and Mr. Richard Horn will be the Vice President and Secretary. A discussion was held and it was decided to retain Secretary Horn's name at the end of the minutes even though the minutes are actually recorded by the Police Chief's Secretary. It was also decided that if possible the agenda for the Comission's meeting should be included with the mailing of the announcement for the meeting. Oral interviews were then conducted for the patrol officer's position granted under the CETA program. The following candidates were interviewed: Othal Allen, John Childers and Daniel Steltz. Since Mark Lutz failed to show for the interview a letter will be sent advising him he is no longer eligible for the position. Chief Kraus will send the composite scores for all the candidates to the Commissioners and then via letter, will request the names of certified can- didates. Mr. Horn wil1,in turn, write a letter to the Chief giving the names of 3 certified candidates from which the Chief will select the subject to fill this position. All eligible candidates will receive psychological testing by Mr. Richard Borowski of Milwaukee Area Technical College. Page 2 July 21, 1977 Chief Kraus reported that James Mott had relinquished the Sergeant's position due to personal reasons. Richard Koch, the next highest patrol officer on the Sergeant's eligibility list, was promoted to fill this Sergeant's position effective July 11, 1977. Mr. Moser moved to approve the promotion of Richard Koch to the Sergeant's position relinquished by James Mott effective July 11, 1977. Seconded by Mr. Bohrer. Motion carried unanimously. The next scheduled quarterly meeting of the Commission will be held October 20, 1977. At 10:15PM, Mr. Moser made the motion for the meeting to adjourn. Respectfully submitted, Richard Horn Secretary
