pfcm19770711POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MUSKEG0 July 11, 1977 The Police and Fire Commission meeting of July 11, 1977 convened at 7:30PM at the Muskego Police Department. Chairman Ahrens, Mr. Horn, Mr. Moser and Chief Kraus were present. This special meeting was called for the purpose of conducting oral interviews to fill the patrol officer's position which was granted by the Muskego Common Council under a special CETA program. The CETA program is a federally funded manpower program pertaining to comprehensive employment training primarily for veterans and persons who have been unemployed for a period of 15 weeks. Five applicants were interviewed by the Commissioners. One of the candidates was known personally by Commissioner Horn and therefore, Chairman Ahrens asked Commissioner Horn if he would be able to evaluate this candidate in an objective manner without letting his personal relationship influence his decision. The candidate was then asked if he had any objec- tion in letting Commissioner Horn participate in evaluating him. The can- didate had no objections and stated he would welcome Commissioner'Horn's participation. After completion of the interviews and gradings it was moved, seconded and carried that in establishing final grades the oral examination grades shall count 75% and the written examination 25%. The Chief was advised that following usual procedures the names of the three top candidates will be certified to him by the Vice Chairman and the Secretary.
