The special meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission of November 6, 1975
was called to order by President William Ahrens with the following members present:
Mr. Ahrens, Mr. Horn, Mr. Moser, Mr. Bohrer and Chief of Police Ervin W. Kraus.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Horn made a motion to have all eligilbility lists expire after one year. Mr.
Bohrer seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Mr. Ahrens made a motion to amend the motion that all eligibility lists would expire
automatically at the end of one year provided, however, that it could be extended
by this commission, by a majority vote, prior to the automatic expiration date. The
amendment was seconded by Mr. Horn. Amendment carried. Motion to amendment carried.
Chief of Police, Ervin W. Kraus reported to the commission that 185 applicants
took the written examination and that 103 applicants had a score of over 80. The
break down of those 103 applicants are as follows:

19 applicants
After a long discussion, it was decided, since no vacancy exists nor is there any
assurance from the Common Council that any manpower will be added to the department
in 1976, that we should defer the oral interviews until we have definite openings
created by additional personnel granted or a turn over in police department personnel.
The State Bureau of Personnel will be instructed to send the proper notification
letter to all the candidates that took the examination. The letter to be signed by
a member of the State Bureau or by the president of the Muskego Police & Fire
Commission. Unanimous vote in favor of holding the applicants in abeyance and a
letter of advisement by the State Bureau of Personnel. Mr. Moser made a motion to
adjourn the meeting at 9:35 p.m. Mr. Bohrer seconded the motion. meeting was
