FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION
December 14, 1972
The December meeting of the Fire and Police Commission for the
City of Muskego, was called to order by President William Ahrens
on Thursday, December 14, 1972, at 8:OO P. M. in the office of the
Chief of Police.
Members present were Mr. Ahrens, Mr. Bohrer, Mr. Horn, Mr. Moser
and Chief of Police, Ervin W. Kraus.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and the third paragraph
was corrected to read as follows:
I, It appeared that it was necessary that the two members
of the commission present, Mr. Ahrens and Mr. Horn,
should dispence with all other portions of the commissions
business."
The minutes were approved as corrected.
Mr. Horn approved the action of the two commission members who
met on October 26, 1972.
Chief Kraus presented a staff suggestion to the commission regarding
members of the Department. A copy of this suggestion is attached.

to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Mr. Moser and

If during employment, a member of the Muskego
Police Department should commit an act that would lead
to disciplinary proceedings calling for departmental
action only, said member may, without another act leading
to disciplinary action for a period of two (2) years,
have such act removed from the record.
If during employment, a member of the Muskego
Police Department should perform an act that would lead
to disciplinary proceedings resulting in a suspension,
member may, without another act leading to disciplinary
action for a period of five (5) years, have the act sealed
at the discretion of the Chief of Police or, to expunge
record only with approval of the Fire and Police Commission.
The sealed action shall not be part of the official record
of said officer.
