POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION MEETING
June 8, 1972
Muskego was called to order by President William Ahrens on Thursday,
June 8, 1972 at 8:OO P.M. in the office of the Chief of Police.
The June meeting of the Fire and Police Commission for the City of
Members present were Mr. William Ahrens, Mr. Walter Bohrer,
Mr. Richard Horn, Mr. Warren Moser and Chief of Police, Ervin W. Kraus.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
Chief Kraus informed the Comissioners that Mr. George Mielke, who
was the top man on the Emergency Employment list, was appointed to the
position of patrolman. This appointment filled the vacancy created by
Robert Klenz who was promoted from patrolman to sergeant. Mr. Warren
Moser motioned to approve the appointment of Officer Mielke. The motion
was seconded by Mr. Walter Bohrer and the motion passed unanimously.
Chief Kraus gave a short summary of the operations of the
Department and informed the Commissioners that the Department expected
to get the approval of a Police Aide sometime in September.
Mr. Walter Bohrer made the motion to retain Mr. William Ahrens
as chairman of the Police and Fire Commission. Mr. Warren Moser
seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.
