POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION MEETING
November 11. 1971
The November meeting of the Fire and Police Commission for the City
of Muskego was called to order by Secretary Warren Moser on Thursday,
November llth, 1971 in the office of the Chief of Police.
Members present were Mr. Richard Horn, Mr. Bernard Lindner, Mr. Warren
Moser and Chief of Police Ervin W. Kraus.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
Chief Kraus advised the commission that of the five qualified can-
didates that were interviewed on October 26th Mr. James A. Budish was the
only successful candidate in all phases of the examining process and was
appointed to the department effective November 1, 1971. Candidate Nolin
Ragsdale was the only other candidate who was sent downtown for a pscho-

The December meeting of the Fire and Police Commission for the
City of Muskego was called to order by Secretary Warren Moser on
Thursday, December 9, 1971 in the office of the Chief of Police.
Members present were Mr. Walter Bohrer, Mr. Richard Horn, Mr.
Bernard Lindner and Mr. Warren Moser and Chief of Police, Ervin W.
Kraus.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
Chief Kraus informed the Commissioners as to the status of the
five qualified candidates from the oral examination of November 11, 1971
1.) Jerome Schmeling - Hired effective December 6, 1971
2.) Roan F. Arndt - Failed Pschological. No further consideration
will be given to application.
3.) Steven N. Unger - Marginal Pschological. No further considera-
tion will be given to application.
4.) William Arens - Disqualified because he did not meet residency
requirements. Advised to leave his application
on file to be contacted for the next examination.
5.) Elmer Hackbarth - Negative background check. No further
consideration will be given to his application.
Chief Kraus informed the Commissioners that Officer Richard Glas
had resigned for personal reasons from the Department effective December 1,
1971. Mr. Walter Bohrer motioned to reactivate the old eligibility list
