POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION MEETING

was called to order by Secretary Warren Moser on Thursday, July 8, 1971 at

Wmbers present were Mr. Walter Bohrer, Mr. Richard Horn, Mr. Warren Moser
and Chief of Police, Ervin W. Kraus.
As there had been no business to discuss, no meetings had been held in May or
June.
Mr. Bohrer motioned that Cmissioner Bill Ahrens be re-elected President of
the Fire and Police Cmission. The motion was seconded by Mr. Horn and the
motion passed unanimously. At this time Mr. Ahrens joined the meeting and
accepted the appointment. No action was taken on the position of Secretary.
This position is presently held by Mr. Moser, who will continue performing
the tasks required of this position.

DUTIES :
Assigned to the Investigative Division, under the direct supervision
of this division commander, shall investigate all crimes and complaints as
assigned; obtain warrants and assist district attorney in prosecution; act
as liason officer in the investigative field with other departments; serve
checks for vice and license violations; follow up on commitment papers and
subpoena as directed by the court clerk; make tavern and other business
delinquent fine payments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.
Three (3) years of experience in a municipal police department; the
equivalent of two (2) years of higher education in either police science,
