POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION
October 9, 1970
The October meeting of the Fire and Police Comission for the City
of Muskego was called to order by President William Ahrens on Friday,
October 9, 1970 at 8:OO pm in the office of the Chief of Police.
Members present were Mr. William Ahrens, Mr. Walter Bohrer,
Mr. Richard Horn, Mr. Warren Moser, Mr. Bernard Lindner and Chief of
Police, Ervin W. Kraus.
The minutes of the last meeting, September 10, 1970, were read. The
last wora in Paragraph 6, "qualified" was changed to read "acceptable".
The minutes were approved as corrected.
OLD BUSINESS A sample Paragraph 15 of the Rules and Regulations
was discussed by the Comissioners and revised. Mr. Horn motioned that
we accept the revised Paragraph 15. The mohion was seconded by Mr, Lhdner
and the motion passed unanimously.
The petition to revise Paragraph 29 of the Rules and Regulations was
discussed by the Commissioners. After much discussion, Mr. Moser motioned
that Paragraph 29 stand as is. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lindner
and the motion passed unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS Chief Kraus reported on the status of the eligibility list.
The Commissioners agreed to wait until the next meeting when it would be
eligibility list. The Commissioners agreed that, if the present eligibility
known how many men the Department would get before deciding to upgrade the
list is depleted, Chief Kraus could call a man from the State down for the
next meeting.
Chief Kraus informed the Commissioners that a position of Juvenile
Officer would probbbly be granted by the Comon Council. The Commissioners
agreed to wait until the next meeting to discuss the exam to be given and
who would qualify to take the exam.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
