pfcm19690514CITY OF MUSKEGO POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION MEETING May 14, 1969 The regular meeting of the Police and Fire Commission for the City of Muskego was called to order by President William Ahrens at 8:lO p.m., on Wednesday, May 14, 1969 in the office of the Chief of Police. Members present were Mr William Ahrens, Mr Walter Bohrer, Mr Richard Horn, Mr Warren Moser, and Ervin W Kraus, Chief of Police. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. A letter from Mr William Kassulke was read requesting a determination from the Commission as to his status on the eligibility list. The correspondance was placed on file and the Commissioners requested that Chief Kraus answer the let- ter informing Mr Kassulke that he will be given every consideration possible at the time that the next recruitment program is set up. The Commission will check the possibility of having Mr Kassulke tape his oral interview so that he may be given the chance of completing the examination process and so be judged on an equal basis with the other candidates. The Fire and Police Commissioners discussed their presentation to the Public Safety Committee. Mr Ahrens reported that the meeting with the Public Safety Committee has been set for May 21, 1969 at 7:30 p.m. Chief Kraus reported that he will submit his request for additional funds for a new recruitment pro- mittee basically as interested citizens of the City of Muskego, but with the gram prior to this date. The primary points of discussion will be the need for a new recruitment program and the future of the department as a whole. It was moved and seconded that the meeting be adjourned.
