pfcm19690313CITY OF MUSKEG0 FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES The March meeting of the Fire and Police Cmission of the City of Muskego was called to order by President William Ahrens on March 13, 1969 at 8:OO p.m. in the office of the Chief of Police. Members present were Mr William Ahrens, Mr Walter Bohrer, Mr Richard Horn, Mr Bernard Lindner, Mr Warren Moser, and Ervin W Kraus, Chief of Police. The Commission met in closed session to interview Mr William Kassulke of W187 S6984 Gold Drive as an applicant to be placed on the eligibility list for the Vietnam and was not available to participate in the oral examination. Mr position of patrolman. Mr Kassulke took the written examination while in Mr Moser and Mr Lindner who served as the oral board for the exam. President Kassulke was questioned by the Commission and received a passing grade from William Ahrens reported that he will speak with Mr Larry Tainter of the State Bureau of Personnel about Mr Kassulke as he has 20 months left to serve in the Army and the present eligibility list will have expired by the time of his sep- aration. A letter will be sent to Mr Kassulke to advise him of the outcome. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. Chief Kraus reported that he had interviewed the two men remaining on the eli- gibility list and in his opinion, they would be considered borderline candi- dates. Chief Kraus also stated that Officer Czisny will inform him by the end of April as to whether or not he intends to return to the department. The Commission agreed to wait until a position is available before running another examination. A provisional appointment could be made to fill any vacancy until such time as the testing would be completed. Mr Ahrens requested that a comparison study showing our department and other metropolitan departments be made in the area of salary and fringe benefits and presented to the Commission.
