ROLL CALL Present: Mr. Harvey Schweitzer, Ald. Eileen Madden, Mr. Patrick Murray, Mr. Mark Slocomb, Mr. Don Mateicka, Mr. Greg Burmeister, Ms. Rebecca Mattano, Mr. Michael Cowling, Mr. Roland Keifer, Engineering Tech Dan Flamini Not Present: Mr. Mike Hackney Guests: Mr. Jo Spear of JSA, Mr. Brett Coogan, Lieutenant Craig Simuncak STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE It was noted that the meeting was posted ni accordance with the open meeting law. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Patrick Murray made a motion to approve the MINUTES of June 6, 2016. Ald. Eileen Madden seconded. Motion Passed 8 in favor<againsttext> 0 opposed</againsttext>. OPEN FORUM (Limit to 5 Minutes/Person) Opportunity for citizens to address the committee on issues relevant to the current landfill operation. A request was made for a plaque in rememberance of a baby that was disposed of at the landfill in 1996. COMPLIANCE OFFICER REPORT STATUS OF PROJECTS 1 Clay Extraction 2 Household Hazardous Waste There are concerns regarding the budget at the Jensen site. Landfill Standing Committee Agenda 2 November 7, 2016 3 MMSD Project Renovations being made to the gas plant through November 18. 4 Electronic Recycling Weekly pickups have been scheduled. The current container isn't large enough for all items. 5 Residential Drop-Off Site 6 Well Testing for Well Water Protection Area 7 Plan Modification Issues 8 Property Protection/Sociological NEW BUSINESS 1 Confirm A New Recording Secretary Ald. Eileen Madden made a motion to nominate Dan Flamini as the New Recording Secretary. Mr. Patrick Murray seconded. Motion Passed 9 in favor<againsttext> 0 opposed</againsttext>. 2 Review Hours Related to Night Shooting at the Firing Range Mr. Mark Slocomb made a motion to allow Night Shooting at the Firing Range from September through December and in the spring prior to daylight savings. Mr. Patrick Murry seconded. Motion Passed 8 in favor<againsttext> 0 opposed</againsttext>. CONTINUING BUSINESS OTHER BUSINESS 1 Review Payments Made from Committee Funds COMMUNICATIONS AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW CITIZEN COMMENTARY (Limited to 15 Minutes) Time for citizens to respond to agenda items discussed at this meeting.
