CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Slocomb called the meeting to order at 5:03PM.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mr. Harvey Schweitzer, Mr. Michael Cowling, Mr. Mike Hackney, Ms. Rebecca
Mattano, Ald. Eileen Madden, Mr. Patrick Murray, Mr. Mark Slocomb, Mr. Don Mateicka, Mr.
Roland Keifter and Mr. David Simpson.
Not Present: Mr. Greg Burmeister
Guests: Mr. Jo Spear of JSA, Mr. Frank Perugini of Environmental Sampling Corporation, Mr.
Brett Coogan

It was noted that the meeting was posted in accordance with the open meeting law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES HELD February 1, 2016
Mr. Patrick Murray made a motion to APPROVE THE MINUTES HELD February 1,
2016. Ald. Eileen Madden seconded.

OPEN FORUM
(Limit to 5 Minutes/Person) Opportunity for citizens to address the committee on issues
relevant to the current landfill operation.
COMPLIANCE OFFICER REPORT
STATUS OF PROJECTS
1 Clay Extraction
2 Household Hazardous Waste
Higher than expected. Will need to watch budget.
3 MMSD Project
Gas plant is down. Should be back up in one month.

4 Electronic Recycling
Muskego event coming May 14th.
5 Residential Drop-Off Site
No issues.
6 Well Testing for Well Water Protection Area
Tested 35 wells. One had a bacteria issue. 10 wells had VOC detects. Done at Pace
Analytical. No comments from homeowners. Letters went out to owners March 1, 2016.
7 Plan Modification Issues

NEW BUSINESS
1 Discussion and/or action on Committee meeting frequency
Future 2016 meetings - June, Aug, Nov on the 1st Monday of the month. Next meeting will be
held June 6th with a Gun Range tour at 4:00PM and a Landfill tour at 4:30PM.
2 Landfill response to law enforcement request for emergency support. The impact on
landfill operations and impact on the community
Report given by Mr. Mike Hackney on incident.

1 Review payments made from committee funds
COMMUNICATIONS AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW
Allow recruit certification by Muskego Police Department not to exceed 10 per year.
Ald. Eileen Madden made a motion to allow recruit certification by Muskego Police
Department not to exceed 10 per year. Mr. Patrick Murry seconded.
