JOINT MEETING OF PARKS & RECREATION BOARD
AND COMPREHENSIVE PLAN COMMITTEE, CITY OF MUSKEGO
MONDAY, MARCH 25, 1991
The joint meeting of the Parks and Recreation Board and the Comprehensive
Plan Committee was called to order at 6:43 P.M. by Chairperson Jerald
Hulbert.
The members of the Parks and Recreation Board in attendance were Alderman
Dan Hilt, Jerald Hulbert, Adele Kehoe, Richard Manchester, Therese Rilling,
and Pete Theis (Parks Director). Ron Stephens and Tom Millonzi were unable
to attend the meeting.
GUESTS: Alderman Simmons, Mayor Salentine
BUSINESS:
Pete Theis outlined to those present the discussion the Parks and Recreation
Board had concerning the placement of parks and open space as recommended
by S.E.W.R.P.C. (Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission).
Discussion followed.
Setting priorities and costs for plan implementation dominated the discussion.
Areas bracketed in a number one priority included City Hall expansion for
purpose of a community festival setting, possible expansion of the Parkland
Plaza area for drainage purposes and wetland preservation, and expansion
of the Ridges Subdivision area to include a public access. All other
items were considered as secondary priorities.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further discussion, Richard Manchester moved to adjourn,
Adele Kehoe seconded. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
