PARKS & RECREATION BOARDMEETING, CITY OF MLISKEGO
MONDAY, JANUARY 14, 1991
The monthly meeting of the Parks and Recreation Board was called to order
by President Jerald Hulbert at 6:07 p.m.
PRESENT: Alderman Dan Hilt, Jerald Hulbert, Adele Kehoe, Richard Manchester,
Thomas Millonzi, Therese Rilling, Ronald Stephens, Gordon Jacobson
(Recreation Director) and Peter Theis (Parks Supervisor)
GUESTS: Fran Burgeson
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Therese Rilling moved to approve, as mailed, the minutes of the December 10,
1990 meeting. Richard Manchester seconded. Motion carried.
PERSONAL APPEARANCES:
There were no personal appearances.
WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE:
Lakefest '91 letter from Wil Vidal
Ron Stephens moved to accept continuance of the (Lakefest) event. Therese
Rilling seconded the motion. Park Board will give permission to upgrade
the electrical box as stated in i/14 of the procedure/requests. Item //8 should
read Ken and Judi Grenz or concessionaire. Motion passed.
Muskego Yacht Club's response
Muskego Yacht Club is withdrawing their request to dock their yacht.
M.A.A. waiver request for base usage in 1991
The concensus of the Board members was to approve the Muskego Athletic
Association's request to waive the base usage fees for 1991 season.
OLD BUSINESS:
Program brochure bids
Gordy reported on printing bids for summer brochure. A total of four bids
were sent out. Motion made by Richard Manchester, Ron Stephens seconded, to
accept the Marek bid. Motion passed.

Office expansion project
l Gordy shared the status of the expansion project with the Board.
Holz Island report
Alderman Hilt made the motion to include Holz Island in the park system.
Ron Stephens seconded. Motion carried.
Status of comprehensive plan
Pete and Gordy will meet with S.E.W.R.P.C. (Southeastern Wisconsin Regional
Planning Commission) representative to finish reviewing the Parks Comprehensive
plEl*.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS:
Parks
Maintenance building restoration project
Pete hopes to have the roof and building exterior bidding process available
by the February meeting.
Ed Pohlman's safety awareness
Ed Pohlman secured the electrical transformer boxes on City property. The
a kind which caused severe damage to a youth in Oak Creek.
Recreation
Accident report form
The Board reviewed the new accident report form. It has been forwarded to the
insurance company for their review.
Senior trip newsletter
Gordy shared the latest newsletter.
Drop-off registration
A lock box for 24-hour drop-off registration tobe mounted outside City Hall
was suggested by Gordy. He will look further into it and get back to the Board.
NEW BUSINESS, OTHER BUSINESS:
Idle Isle concession stand
Ken Grenz reported that there was a problem with water leaking in during the
summer. Mr. Grenz stated that he and Mrs. Grenz would like to continue with
a lease similar to what they had for the 1990 season. He will have a proposal
l ready for the February meeting.

The Board reviewed the plat.
Lake Point Estates
The Board reviewed the plat.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Tom Millonzi moved to adjourn, seconded by
Richard Manchester. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
