PARKS & RECREATION BOARD MEETING, CITY OF MUSKEGO
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 1991
The monthly meeting of the Parks and Recreation Board, City of Muskego, was
called to order by President Jerald Hulbert at 5:40 p.m.
PRESENT: Alderman Dan Hilt, Jerald Hulbert, Adele Kehoe, Richard Manchester,
Thomas Millonzi, Ronald Stephens, Gordon L. Jacobson (Recreation
Director) and Peter Theis (Parks Director)
ABSENT: Therese Rilling (excused)
GUESTS: Gene Kovacs, Dave DeAngelis, Agnes Posbrig, Ron Peters, Leonard Pilak,
Ron Ford
S.E.W.R.P.C. PLAN:
Pete introduced the S.E.W.R.P.C. (Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning
Commission) Plan and gaveabrief overview. Discussion followed. A meeting
has been scheduled for February 27 at 6:00 p.m. to take a more in-depth look
at the Plan to include a representative from S.E.W.R.P.C.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Richard Manchester moved to approve, as mailed, the minutes of the January 14,
1991 meeting. Tom Millonzi seconded. Motion carried.
PERSONAL APPEARANCES:
Ron Peters--Muskego Historical Society Lease Agreement
Mr. Peters came to the Board to renew the lease agreement between the City of
Muskego and the Muskego Historical Society, Inc. He did request a lo-year
agreement rather than a 5-year agreement. Ron Stephens made the motion,
pending the city attorney's approval, that the lease renew automatically
every year so that it always extends 5years. If, in any given period, one
or both parties decide not to renew, there would be a 4-year period left on
the lease. Richard Manchester seconded. Motion passed. Terms of the lease
will become an agenda item for next month.
Ken & Judi Grenz--Idle Isle Concession Stand Lease Agreement
Mr. and Mrs. Grenz brought a proposal for the concession stand for 1991 season
to the Board. They shared some of their concerns about equipment and vandalism.
Tom Millonzi made the motion to accept the changes made at the table. Adele
Kehoe seconded. Motion passed. The final 1991 lease will be reviewed by the
Board at their March meeting.

Ron Ford--Winter Sports Site Proposal for Comprehensive Plan
Ron Ford came to the Board to request that a portion of land be identified
by the Board as a possible park area for winter sports. (Maps presented to
the Board are on file.)
WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE:
There was no further discussion of Holz Island.
OLD BUSINESS:
Drop off registration
There will be a drop-off box downstairs and another at the main entrance of
the City Hall building.
Park Dedication fees
The Board dicussed Park Dedication fees as compared to other metropolitan
areas. This will be on next month's agenda for further review and analysis.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS:
Shop restoration project
The Board will review the bidding specifications when they come back from
the architect.
Recreation
Cable Club guidelines
The Board discussed future equipment needs.
Ball diamond permits/l991 schedule
Pete and Gordy will put a tentative plan together. They will take it to the
sub-committee scheduled to meet on February 27 at 5:30 p.m., one-half hour
prior to the special Board meeting.
NEW BUSINESS, OTHER BUSINESS:
Subdivision plans from Plan Commission
The Board reviewed the subdivision plans for Bay Lawn, College Square, Lake-
view Highlands.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Tom Millonzi moved to adjourn, seconded by
Richard Manchester. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
