MINUTES OF JOINT
PARKS & RECREATION BOARD
MEETING HELD JUNE 20, 1990
Called to order at 7:37 p.m. by Mayor Salentine. Also present
were Aldermen Dumke, Hilt, Patterson,, H. Sanders, Simmons
(arrived 7:40 p.m.), Taube, City Clerk Marenda and Park Board
members Richard Mancheser, Thomas Millonzi, Therese Rilling and
Ronald Stephens. Absent were Alderman Dave Sanders and Park Board members Jerald Hulbert and Adele Kehoe.
It was determined that the two candidates would be interviewed in
alphabetical order. Ron Stephens introduced Gordon Jacobson and
Sherry1 Wittrock. Each candidate presented a brief review of
their experience and qualifications for the position, and
responded to questions by the Aldermen.
Ald. Simmons moved to convene into Closed Session pursuant to
§19.85(l)(c), considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employe over which the
governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility,
more specifically as to consideration of the Recreation
Supervisor applicants. As to these matters, formal action may be
taken in Closed Session. Ald. Hilt seconded, carried 6-O.
Ald. Patterson moved to reconvene into Open Session. Simmons
seconded, carried 6-O.
Richard Manchester moved to accept the application of Gordon
Jacobson and recommend him as Recreation Supervisor for the City
of Muskego. Tom Millonzi seconded. Motion carried with Hilt,
Manchester, Millonzi and Stephens voting "yes". Rilling had
previously been excused from the meeting.
Resolution f/154-90 - Resolution Confirming the Selection of
Recreation Supervisor. Hilt moved for adoption to confirm appointment of Gordon Jacobson effective July 5, 1990 as
Recreation Supervisor, with starting salary of $24,331.12,
6 mos. - $25,236.29, and 18 mos. - $26,727.00. Taube seconded,
carried 6-O.
Dumke moved to adjourn at 9:25 p.m. H. Sanders seconded,
carried.
