PARKS & RECREATION BOARD SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 1989
The special meeting of the Parks and Recreation Board was called to order
at 6:09 P.M. by President Jerald Hulbert.
PRESENT: Ald. Dan Hilt, Jerald Hulbert, Adele Kehoe, Thomas Millonzi,
Therese Rilling, Ronald Stephens, Jackie Schweitzer (Recreation
Supervisor) and Peter Theis (Parks Supervisor)
ABSENT: Richard Manchester (excused)
PARKS OPERATING BUDGET
Peter presented his 1990 operating budget request. Ron Stephens moved to
accept the parks operating budget as presented. Tom Millonzi seconded.
Motion carried.
PARKS CAPITAL BUDGET
Peter presented his 1990 capital budget request. Alderman Hilt moved to
accept the parks capital budget, as amended to include improvements/repairs
at Idle Isle Park in the amount of the sale price minus the expenses of
Ruby Drive lake acce.ss parcel #6 (Tax Key #X74.171). Ron Stephens seconded.
Motion carried.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Historical Society budget was reviewed as presented at the September 11th
Board meeting. Ron Stephens moved to send the Historical Society's monetary
requests to the Finance Committee without a recommendation, and to delete
the additional proposed tasks that involved additional staff time of the parks
crew.
RECREATION OPERATING BUDGET
Jackie presented her 1990 operating budget request. Ron Stephens moved to
adopt the recreation operating budget (which includes the Assistant Recreation
Supervisor position), as presented. Tom Millonzi seconded. Motion carried.
RECREATION CAPITAL BUDGET
Jackie presented her 1990 capital budget requests. Out of the proposed budget,
items 6, 7 and 9 will be placed in the operating budget, account 3212. Ron
Stephens moved to accept the 1990 capital budget, as amended. Tom Millonzi
seconded. Motion carried.

CABLE CLUB OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS
Jackie presented the 1990 cable club operating and capital budgets. Roll
Stephens moved to accept the cable club proposed budgets. There.% Rilling
seconded. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Tom Millonzi moved to adjourn, Alderman Hilt seconded. Motion carried. The
meeting adjourned at lo:15 P.M.
