PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD, CITY OF MUSKEGO
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 1989
The special meeting of the Parks and Recreation Board was called to order
by Chairperson Jerald Hulbert at 6:07 P.M.
PRESENT: Alderman Dan Hilt, Jerald Hulbert, Dennis Kucharski, Richard Manchester,
Therese Rilling, and Ronald Stephens
LATE ARRIVAL: Thomas Millonzi (7:OO P.M.), Peter Theis (Parks Supervisor,
7:00 P.M.)
GUESTS: Alderman Pat Patterson, Mayor Salentine
BUSINESS:
Short-term department organization
The Board reviewed the proceedings of the Tuesday, January 31, special meeting.
It was concensus of the Board to raise the pay of the department supervisors
and provide an assistant.
Ron Stephens made a motion to raise salaries of the Recreation Supervisor and
the Parks Supervisor to the same salary of the Library Head and hire a 19 hours
a week person to help with the load of work. Dennis Kucharski seconded. The
motion carried, with one opposed.
Long-term department organization
Copies of a proposed survey to be mailed to comparable communities on their
parks and recreation department was distributed to the Board for their review.
Comments on this survey content will be discussed at the next Board meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Richard Manchester moved to adjourn. Roll Stephens seconded. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:00 P.M.
