SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING FOR REVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION/CONCEPT
FOR DANCE/GYMNASTIC SUPERVISOR/COORDINATOR POSITION
MONDAY, AUGUST 7, 1989
The sub-committee of the Parks and Recreation Board met at 5:00 P.M. to
review the job description/concept of a dance/gymnastic supervisor/coor-
dinator position.
Members Present: Jerald Hulbert, Therese Rilling, Ron Stephens, and Jackie
Schweitzer (Recreation Supervisor)
Discussion was held on the proposal presented by Mary Kozlik, present dance/
gymnastic instructor for the Department. The Board adopted the concept of
restructuring the program at the June 12, 1989 meeting.
The following outline was drafted by the sub-committee:
~~~RDINATOR/SUPERVISOR (DANCE/GYMNASTICS)
- provide written lesson plans (daily and unit--with unit plans in
prior to the start of the program). Copies to be on file in the
Recreation Office.
- meet with Recreation Supervisor to determine class schedule, class
changes, waiting lists, staffing, etc.
- responsible for covering/staffing classes when s~me~ne (staff) is
unable to be present.
- for every hour of classes--50% actual teaching, 50% supervision.
- training assistant staff in gymnastics.
- attend department registration 3 times per year to assist in class
placement.
- other duties as necessary to fulfill the program requirements.
Salaries for dance and gymnastic coordinators, instructors, and aides from
other communities were reviewed.
It was agreed that Jerry, Ron, and Jackie would meet with Mary Kozlik, prior
to the August Board meeting, to discuss this rough draft outline of work
responsibilities.
The meeting adjourned at 7:lO P.M.
