PARKS AND RECREATION SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING
CITY OF MUSKEGO
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1988
This special sub-committee meeting was called to order by Chairperson Hulbert at 7 05 PM.
PRESENT Jerry Hulbert (Chairperson), Alderman Pat Patterson,
Richard Manchester, Tom Millonzi
UPDATE ON INFORMATION
Jerry Hulbert gave summary of other cities and county pathways that
are in existence.
Alderman Patterson moved to contact Wisconsin Electric Power Company
(WEPCO) for more information for use of the WEPCO right-of-ways
through the city. Richard Manchester seconded. Motion carried.
Concerned if there are any restrictions on certain parts of the
right-of-way, etc.
Direct department staff to check out insurance on proposed bikeway.
Does existing city policy cover the use/installation of the bike
paths and what would be the cost of a rider listing WEPCO as an
l additional insured?
PURPOSE OF BIKEWAYS.
The sub-committee recommends that the purpose is to establish interconnecting bikeways to connect other recreational and city
facilities throughout the City of Muskego.
Richard Manchester moved to recommend the following plan (1) access
to Bay Lane School from WEPCO right-of-way, (2) WEPCO to Highway 24
via Lannon Drive roadway; (3) final phase, Highway 24 to Pioneer
Drive and WEPCO east to Lannon Drive Alderman Patterson seconded.
Motion carried.
There being no further business, Richard Manchester moved to adjourn
the meeting at 8 37 PM. Seconded by Tom Millonzi. Motion carried.
