PARKS & RECREATION BOARD MEETING
Monday, April 22, 1985
PRESENT: Dick Arrowood, Vickie Hauser, Joseph Weitzer,
Peter Theis (Parks Supervisor) and .Jackie Schweitzer
(Recreation Supervisor).
There being no quorum, no formal action was taken by the Board.
Items on the agenda were discussed for information for those
Board members present.
PERSONAL APPEARANCES:
Jim Prusinski's previous tournament request was discussed. John
Brown appeared representing Jim Prusinski who was unable to attend.
Mr. Prusinski had been sent a correspondence to appear before
the Board with completed paperwork and deposit for the requested
tournament. Since he failed to submit the requested paperwork,
this request will be on the May agenda for further review.
Baseball/Softball Field Request (Church League) - This league
requested to be placed on the master baseball/softball schedule
despite missing the deadline. Since policy stated no requests
would be accepted after the deadline and Jackie noted an appli-
cation form had been sent to this group, this came in after the
master schedule was done, the Board members present were in
agreement to stand by the policy but let this church group know
there are school diamonds not being used which might be avail-
able for them to personally coordinate.
OLD BUSINESS:
Boat Launching Policy - The Public Safety Committee has
recommended to the Common Council that signs be posted along
Hardtke and Martin Drives not allowing cars with trailers to
park on these roadways. This is an attempt to limit the amount
of parking and potential safety hazards created by the excessive
car/trailer parking.
TIF Projects - Jackie reported that the Capital Budget Committee
reviewed the TIF projects submitted by the Parks and Recreation
Board on March 27, 1985. The following items were approved,
deleted, or deferred:
TID ii1
Approved the split-rail fencing, outfield fencing, picnic
tables, plantings (to be reviewed by Common Council) and widen
segment A of roadway. Deleted widening of segment B of
roadway.
