The meeting was called to order at 7,:30 P.M. 'Die purpose of this
special meeting was to discuss. the 1981 Operating Budget.

Mr Dave Miller of the Icetronauts appeared before the Board with concerns
about the vandalism at the Mill Valley ball diamonds. An apparent failure

of comnunications s-d to be the problem concerning the starting time
and Mr. Miller apoligized for any problems and voiced the hope that the problems would not jeopardize relations with the Board in the future.

Operating Budget
Board Members reviewed the proposed 1981 Operating Budget for the
Parks Department. There is a need to increase the clothing allowance account to outfit two (2) full-time people ONLY. 'Ihe requested amount
wuld beS200.00.
lb allow for increase in prices for gas, oil, and lubrication, this
account will be budgeted for $9,CCGOO.
Capital Budget
After review of the items proposed for the 1981 Budget, it was
decided to increase the Bluhm Farm, Phase III for 1981, to $35,000.00.
The lighting of the additional ball diamond will be included in the 1982 Budget for a proposed cost of $30,000.00 under Phase IV.

C. Wage Proposal
Mr Theis presented his proposed personnel needs for the 1981 and 1982 budgets. He is considering hiring an older person for the
Park Hanger Position. Parks Department anticipates the personnel as follows for the 1981 and 1982 Capital Budgets:

Michael Weed moved to budget $11,970.00 for salaries for 1981 (same
as last year-1980) with the understanding that the above personnel
will bs used. Karen Wesell seconded and the motion carried.
The following salaries were proposed for the park employees and to be included in the budget:
