He also presented the preliminary layout for the Bluhm Farm baseball complex for approval for preparation and letting of bids. Cost estimates were presented. The Parks and Recreation Department could possibly rent Denoon School from the school board for $1 per year with the City taking up the maintenance of the school. There is $12,000 available for use for a senior citizens facility from Waukesha County. To be granted these funds the Denoon School would have to be upgraded as follows: (1) a three-compartment sink in the kitchen area, an expendi- ture of approximately $lOO-$300; (2) an entrance ramp, and widening the restroom doors, bars, and widening toilet partitions to comply with the handicap code, an expenditure of approximately $1,148. The operating costs, utilities, et cetera, would be an estimated cost of $2,405 for heating, $978 for electricity, and $250-$300 for insurance. Mr. Man- chester moved, Karen Wesell seconded, to proceed to request approval for use of Denoon School from the school board for use as a senior citizen center. Motion carried.
