PRB091379minutesPARKS & RECREATION BOARD SPECIAL MEETING - SEPT. 13, 1979 The meeting was called to order at 8 PM. PRESENT Tom Raimann, Richard Arrowood, Mike Weed, Carl Wauer, Karen Wesell, Fred Baewer, Director, and Jackie St. Mary, Recreation Supervisor. The first item at the special budget meeting discussed was salaries. A Park Maintenance Worker II position salary was set at $4.50 an hour. Mr. Wauer moved to set the salary of the Recreation Supervisor at $11,500.00 and the motion was seconded by Mike Weed. Carried. Mr. Wauer then moved to amend his motion to $11,750.00 and Tom Raimann seconded. Motion carried. It was also stated that the position is to be made supervisory status and under salary. Mr. Wauer next moved to approve the salary budget for the Recreation Department as submitted. Karen Wesell seconded and the motion carried. The salary budget as follows, was moved by Mike Weed for approval and seconded by Karen Wesell. Carried. Administration Parks Recreation $24,214.00 44,902.oo 52,022.OO $121,138.00 The following figures were then discussed. Training $295.00 Clothing Allowance 397.00 Auto Allowance 830.00 Professional & Consultant Fees 1000.00 Contracted Services 8140.00 Office Supplies 1330.00 Operating Supplies 15233.00 Tom Raimann moved to have the Parks operating supplies and expenses budget at $4,500.00. The motion was seconded by Carl Wauer but failed to carry. The Director was then asked to review operating expenses for the Parks and come back with realistic figures for some of the items. Karen Wesell seconded the motion and it carried. A memo was received and noted from the department secretary regarding billing procedures.
