The meeting was called to order at 7~38 P.M.
PRESENT: Dick Arrowood, Ron Ford, Mike Weed and Fred
Baewer, Director
PERSONAL APPEARANCES
Larry LaMar from David Schreiber & Associates presented the
Master Plan (Preliminary) for the Bluhm Farm Park. Included
in the plan are two (2) ball complexes, tennis courts,
parking lots, and picnic areas with shelters. Input was
given to the presentation by those present. Suggestions
to add items to the master plan were, shuffle board courts
and horse shoe pits. (Map is on display at Park & Recreation
office)
Mr. LaMar also presented a tentative budget for the Bluhm
Farm Complex which consisted of three (3) phases (copy
attached), which amounts to a grand total of $450,276.00 (Est.)
Ron Ford made a motion to determine the 'cost ,for the two
diamonds which are to be south of McShane, to include
earthwork, baseball infield mix, seed, parking lots, road
access, and backstops. The north area of McShane would
consist of just earthwork. The motion was seconded and
carried.
OLD BUSINESS
A review of the various types of vehicles was discussed.
A motion was made by Ron Ford to accept the bid from Buran
AMC/Jeep, West Allis, for a 1979 CJ-7. A suggestion was
made to include a back seat for better passenger comfort.
$8000.00 was appropriated for the vehicle. The motion was
seconded and carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:lO P.M.
