EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session was held in regard to the interviewing
and hiring of a Land 0' Lakes Baseball Coach. Joe Beatka and
Jack Refling appeared before the Board seeking the position.
Prior to the beginning of the meeting, President Arrowood dis-
cussed a letter received from Alderman Van Lanen and what his
reply was.
The meeting was called to order at 7:55 P.M.
The minutes of the January 23, 1978 meeting l*lere approved as
mailed. a UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Baseball Coaching
Manchester moved to hire Joe Beatka for the Land 0' Lakes Coach.
Seconded by Raimann PASSED There was discussion concerning
the dropping of the Puddles. League.and hiring a coach as an
assistant to the Varsity/J.V. Coach. For the time being, and
until the M.A.A. contacts Pischke, no action will be taken.
Marlan Meadows
The preliminary plat was received'for Marlan Meadows. No formal
action was taken on the new design.
Priorities -1378 Capital Budget
There is little money available for Capital Budget Projects.
The Capital Budget Committee of the Board will meet before the
next Capital Budget hearing.

I.D. Cards
Franklin and Greendale both have the identification system.

a mostly with tennis court registration and is not strictly
enforced in other areas. Ford moved to table this item for the
time being. Seconded by Engman PASSED
Income Report
Chuck Damaske has requested a report for the income taken in by
the Department for the month of January. Pischke had prepared
an example of what he could give Damaske and was given the go
ahead to pass on this information.
DIRECTOR's REPORT
Parks
The interior of Jensen is being completely redone (painted, drapes,
etc.).
Recreation
We are now at the end of our winter programs. The swimming regis-
tration for the second session has increasedover that of the first
session, and the dance program is expanding.
Intern Projects
0 A City map (showing all the city owned parks), and a Little
Muskego Lake map (showing the accesses) have been completed by
the Department's Intern.
MISCELLANEOUS
There has been a private request for old playground equipment.
Some of the pipe is not reusable and the Board has left it up to
Director Pischke's discretion as to what should be done.
U.S. Government Surplus
The snowmobiling at Lions Park is not a great problem. A letter
has been received from Ald. Van Lannen by kiichael Cl'eed concerning
snowzsobiling in l~fuskego.
A letter regarding the status of existing swimming facilities,
for the youth of ??uskego, has been sent to birs. Laub.
There were some personnel problems that were taken care of,
recently regarding two Recreation Division employees,

l A list of the Board's sub-committees was finally issued to the
Board.
The next meeting date has been set for March 13, 1978.
