Meeting was called to order by Ron Ford at 7:bOP.M.
Ford officially welcomed Steve Pischke. Plschke extended his thanks.
Bids opened at 7:45 P.M.
Lanny LaDell: Pres/Tavern League presented a check In the amount of $555.95 to P&R on behalf of the Tavern Leag ue to be used for lights end improvements for Baseball at Mill Valley. Check repre- sents proceeds from 1975 Donkey Bsseball Game. Ford accepted with th~anks.
Kangas Report: Kangas will be at next meeting to summarize Winter Program.
Beatka: Engman asked status of Beatka now that P&R Dir. has been hired. Ford told us that Beatka is in hospital and has completed his work beforehand. Arrowood noted that Beatka has 3 coaches hired. Plschke would like hlm to stay through his contract and would like to make recommendations later.

Raimann Informed us that Blattner will talk to us about land. Pischke, Raimann and Dumke should talk with Blattner. Wrowood suggested study present committee system and continue with same until studled.
Revlew Bids: Dshlen moved, Manchester seconded that based on positive recommendation from Park Planner P&R recommend that Common Council approve the following bids for Mill Valley: Fleldha.ck Construction, Cedarburg, Wis. base bid A=$19,975.00; Century Fence, Waukesha, Wis. base bid B=#2,961.00; and ~Payne & Dolan, Wsukesha, Wig. base bid C+C1=$2,B85.50 + $2,700.00--carried. Discussion Included pros s.nd cons of
blacktop paths vs. gravel; lights other than those recommended; a.nd fence helght.
Jensen,: needs bleachers a.ssembled and installed and seeding and sodding.
Kurth: needs striping and concrete.
Lions: needs play equipment finished.
Ml11 Valley: still holding money for Spring review.
Oak Grove: working on play equipment--report later
Baseball: Plschke working on scheduling--suggest Field Permits (price of
* jj18.00 for 500 two piece carbon sets)--suggest upgrading all fields to take pressure off Mill Valley and allow proper reS% and malntalnence--thinks all requests can be scheduled If every- one co operates. Arrowood sugg~ested that MAA girls have a crack
at playing on better diamonds since all are Muskego girls. Ford
suggested that no one group get priority and that with

Decision making: clarify that day to day declaions be made by P&R Dir. and other things should be open to communications both ways--

Perks Maint: Pischke reviewed a,nd would like to move from Horn to old Public Works Bldg. for safety and roomy. Public works ha.s agreed to temporarily let P&R use a. part of bldg. and is moving things around to ensble P&R~'to utilize some space, Estimated cost of move #75.00--need workbenches and hooks--will start a small stockpile to belts etc. and set up a preventative maint. program on tractors and mowers --has purchased 25, 55. gal. sandblasted barrels @$5.00 for trash at parks--recommend hire a couple high school boys for a couple of hours/day, readjust Jeff's hrs. so he can work with them. :- !
Engma.n moved,, Manchester seconded that P&R give authorizations for Mr. Pischke to hire 2 part time high school students for Park Maint. Program--carried. Ford suggested that Plschke make effort not to hire sons and daughters of P&R board members, since Common Council frowns on this. Plschke said hiring would be done on the best possible person for Job basis.
Summer: Pischke will have 4 swimming instructors this summer. Engman asked about swim for disabled.
Xurth: there will be a corrected reading for meter cause old meter malfunc- tioned.
Juke Box: people (Seroge and WISN) have contacted Plschke to sell or donate
a juke box--Ford will find out how acquired and report back.
Charges: City Clerk has informed Pischke that all fees and charges are to 4$sales tax--Krygier recommended have City Attorney het us subject
a CES# since this Is a non-profit operation. Ford asked what the revenue was last year.
Horn: Plschke suggested consider redwood fence at entrance to Horn about
150 to 200 ft. long.
Bldg.Permlt: Muskego Rod & Gun Club wants Horn Bldg. for 5 dates 4;/7;5/5/ 8/4;9/1;and 10/6.
Jensen: Plschke would like to see owner of two lots next to Jensen to find out game plan. P&R Board thinks he should look Into it.
Elections: We should hold elections after City Elections.
Bi-Centenlal: Manchester would like to know why P&R knows nothing about the log bldg. plans etc: and is concerned because P&Kwould end up maintaining bldg.
Girls softball: Engman questioned P&R trying to start a girls softball league--Ford said that it was not his intention to infer that P&R was involved.
