Mr. Mr. Arrowood Raimann Dahlen Manchester Engman Zabel Colburn Fitzgerald Mrs. Krygier Mr. Pischke Mr. Ford (arrived late) Subjects of the Special Meeting - Use of Idle Isle facilities for special events - Concerns of Mr. & Mrs. Heckert - Professional dues Use of Idle Isle Facilities Discussion was held with Muskego Lakes Association concerning the use of Idle Isle Beach on August 7th. Motion by Mr. Dahlen; "As the program sponsored by the Muskego Lakes Association enhances boat safety and as the Park and Recreation Board is concerned with water safety as part of its continuing recreation program, I move that parking for all persons attending Idle Isle on August 7th be free and that parking area should be designated by the Park and Recreation Director." Seconded by Mrs. Krygier. Motion passed. Concerns of Mr. & Mrs. Heckert Discussion was held concerning the appearance of Mr. & Mrs. Heckert before the board. The have been bothered with foul balls from Horn Field and as a result have suffered damage to their cars and house. -Mr. Dahlen moved that a written opinion be requested from the city attorney as to the liability of the Park and Recreation Board in regard to the damage caused by foul balls to the Heckert property and that a letter be written to the Heckerts informing them of this action. Seconded by Mr. Raimann. Motion passed. Professional Dues Mrs. Krygier moved that Park and Recreation Board pay the a national, state and regional dues for the Park and Recreation Director. Funds are to come from the recreation operational funds. Seconded by Mr. Ford. Motion passed. . - i -2- Priorities for Capital Improvement As requested by the Mayor, for capital items. the following is the priority list Priority I - $2,500.00 for bleachers 4,900.OO for play equipment for Lions Park 8,100.OO for backstop 4,OOO.OO for equipment purchases 5,OOO.OO for architectural fees 9,OOO.OO for miscellaneous equipment Priority II-$28,325.00 for . ..__ lights, fencing and parking area at Mill Valley School 25,OOO.OO Property acquistition - Ward IV Priority III-$l,SOO.OO Oak Grove School improvement Priority IV- $8,000.00 Lamb Nursery acquistition Priority V- $20,000.00 Ward VII - Land acquistition Meeting Adjourned - 1O:OO P.M.
