a President Don Yahr called the meeting to order at 7:35 P&i. Also present were members dob Gumieny, hichard Kinchester, koland Linck, Kichard Arrouood . Others present were Park Supt. 2on McCullough, Hecreation Director Don gangas and Baseball Coordinator Joe Ueatka. rrbsent was Gloria Bartz.
Last months minutes were discussed.
Don Yahr reported that the lunch program for senior citizens at the High School is in full swing with attendance ranging between 1 and 35 with an average of A-5 per day.
Oick Arrowood asked about the Xuckey 4-M bus that was given to the School 3istrict o Uon Yahr reported that the school’s cost for fixing’ the bus to school standards was prohibitive. The school was in process of selling the bus and had advertised for bids, but only two had been received. lJick Arrowood moved to authorize iJon Kangas to check with the Eiahool Board about the possiblity of their donating the bus to the Park and &creation Uept, for use in transporting baseball teams, Seconded by Uob Cmieny. recreation program and senior citizens. &ring discussion It was brought out that Park and kecreation did not have to meet school standards in regards to running a bus and the bus was mechanically sound needing only an exhaust system and possibly tires. Notion carried.
@ JisCullough authorized to check with the bielfare Committee and/or Library regarding size of proposed Park and hecreation office in the basement of the City Hall.

Nr,, Les krauer, 473 S77d6 tiestwood Urive, representing the Icetronauts arid Lake Wders Snowmobile Clubs appeared to ask for the Park and kecreation hekp in getting permission from iiisconsin rllectric Power Company to use their rights-of-way for recreational use such as trails for snovanobiles mini-bikes, etc. He reported that Mayor Gottfried had written to NE, Uectric: Power Company and rjaukesha County Park and Planning Commission for such permission. Les arauer reported that the city needs backing of its citizens and Park and kecreation doard for biaukesha County to lease the land from the Poder Company and that the State will provide up to lW,ti of the funds needed to establish the recreational trails. r&zo the snocmobiJ.e clubs need the trails to get to their established trails and not primarily to ride up and dorm on which would annoy local cltisens. Don Yahr suggested that nob Gumieny work with various clubs and submit a re- port at the next meeting detailing what Park and Hecreation must do to he1 1 in establishing the receational trails.
