SWW'SXS OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 21, 1974
The meeting was called to order at 7:&O P.M. Pr@sent were members Don
Yahr, Ron Ford, Gloria Bartz, Park Supt. Don McCullough and Recreatt%on
Director Don Kangas. Absent was Robert Gumieny, Dick Arrowood and Wayne
Haglund.
Mr. Bugh Dega was to attend the meeting to report on Muskego's Comprehensive
Park Plan however did not appear because of illness. He is re-schedulad to
appear at a special meeting at the city hall on Yanuary 28th. All members
are urged to attend.

He reported that his wife did start a program. He suggested
that the Park Board could help his program by providing bus trips for the
?vQMQ. These trips could be for ahopping trfpsp restaurant trips, 0Q@Cbaf
functions, etc. Don Kangas reported thae Waukesha's Senior Citizen Program
includes bus trips for restaurants, shoppfng and card and dance partfes.
The board directed Don Kangas to coordinate the trips with Mr. or Mrs. Chn~lam
Hudson provided monies becQme available.
plr. Gene Fink appeared in behalf of the Little Muskego Yacht Club and
requested that all members be given a pass for Idle Isle facilities for a
blanket fee of $30.00 as they did during the 1973 season. Don Yahr movedp
as seconded by Gloria Bartz, to grant Muskego Yacht Club members permission
to use the Idle Isle sailing and 1aunchLng facilities for a fee of $30.00
for the 1974 season. No discussion. Motion carried.
Don Yahr suggested that the Yecht Club would run sailing instructibns for
interested persons in conjunction with the city's summer recreation program.
This program will be discussed in detail at a later meeting.
Minutes of the meeting held on December 17, 1973, were reviewed and approved.

Don Kangas recommended continuing the Tuesday swim because the attendance
is increasing. The board concurred.

Men’s Basketball League cancelled because not enough men registered to
m&e four teams.
Recreation financial raport will be given at February meeting.
Don McCullough reported he had plowed several a;reas on the lake for
ice skating and the work is progressing satisfactorily on winterizing
the building at Idle Isle
Don Yahr moved, as seconded by Gloria Bartz, to authorize park aupt.
McCullough to spend $300.00 to buy and install a rink li.ner for ice
skating at Xurth Park Area. No discussion. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
@n Ford read Hugh Dega’s contract for services at Schmidt park and Idla
Isle. The board discussed the contract and made note of questions to
be asked-at ,the Monday, January 28th meeting with Mr. Dega.
Don Yahr moved, as seconded by Gloria Bartz, to apnrove naymant of the
bills presented by Ron Ford. The bills were from Home Supply for building
auppliea for Idle Isle, Century Fence for fence at Horn Field and Bugh
Dega & Associates for services. No diacuaaion. Motion carried.
Ron Ford reported that Inman Engineering was preparing the topographical
map for Idle Isle.
Don Yahr reported that Mayor Gottfried has appointed two new members
to Park Board and they are awaiting Council approval.
Don Yahr moved, as seconded by Ron Ford, to adjourn. Motion carried..
