MINUTES OF PLAN COMMISSION MEETING ON JANUARY 15, 1985
Mayor Wayne G. Salentine called the meeting to order at 7:25 P.M.
MINUTES: Mr. Arrowood moved to approve the minutes of the
December 4, 1985 meeting. Mr. Schmidt seconded and the motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
STAN A. ZDANCZEWICZ - The Recording Secretary read
Resolution #P.C.1-85, Approval of Permit for Dog Kennel. Mr.
Raimann moved for adoption. Mr. Boettcher seconded. Upon a roll
unanimously.
call vote the motion to adopt Resolution #P.C. 1-85 carried
APEX REALTY CORPORATION - WIZA - The Recording Secretary
read Resolution #P.C. 2-83, Approval of Certified Survey Map. Mr. Constantineau moved for adoption. Mr. Schmidt seconded.
Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Resolution #P.C. 2-85 carried unanimously.
Resolution #P.C. 3-85, Approval of Extension of Time for
LARSEN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME - The Recording Secretary read
seconded. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Resolution
Temporary Sign. Mr. Arrowood moved for adoption. Mr. Boettcher
#P.C. 3-85 carried unanimously.
#P.C. 4-85, Approval of Restoration Plan. The area in ouestion
WASTE MANAGEMENT - The Recording Secretary read Resolution
is north of the-Electric Company right of way. Mr. Constantineau
pointed out this is a low contour area. Mr. Bill Retzlaff
appeared before the Commission to explain there is plenty of
cover, the trees are good size, and a good buffer from Highway 24. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried 4 to 2 with Mr.
Arrowood and Mr. Constantineau casting the dissenting votes.
DISCUSSION:
Mr. Lee gave a brief report on the restoration of Thomas
Landfill, explaining he will notify Mrs. Thomas and set up a
timetable for completion of the restoration.
The Recording Secretary relayed a phone conversation with Mr Richard Knutson. Mr. Knutson said the dike to protect his
property at W193 S6853 Hillendale did not hold, and a new
solution to the problem of water draining onto his property from
the Thomas Landfill was necessary.
