MINLTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 15, 1983
CITY HALL I
Mayor Salentine called the meeting to order at 8 05 P.M.
PRESENT: Chairman Wayne Salentine, Secretary Edward Raimann
Laura Kilb and Jack Schmidt. Zoning Officer Gerald Lee was
Richard Arrowood, Ald. Charles Colburn, Les Constantineau,
also present.
MINUTES: Mr. Raimann moved to approve the minutes of the
March 1, 1983 meeting Seconded by Mrs. Kilb, motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
WOODS ROAD PUPPING STATION - The Recording Secretary read
Resolution #P. C. 34-83. Approval of Conditional Use Grant.
Mr Schmidt moved for adopkkon. Mr. Arrowood seconded the
motion. It was noted that the necessary public hearing was held
just prior to this regular meeting. Upon a roll call vote the
motion carried unanimously.
#P. C. 35-83, Approval of Sketch for Land Division. Mr. Raimann
NINO COELLO - The Recording Secretary read Resolution
moved for adoption. Mr. Constantineau seconded the motion.
Zoning Officer Lee noted that at the time the certified survey
map is submitted for approval, it would be necessary to submit
an approval of an on-site sewage disposal system, so lots are
not created which could not be built upon. Upon a roll call
vote the motion carried unanimously.

RICHARD MEINECKE - The Recording Secretary read Resolution
#P. C. 36-83, Recomendation to Deny Legal Lot Status -
moved for adoption. Mr. Schmidt seconded the motion. Ald.
Richard Meinecke, Muskego Beach Park Addition. Mr. Arrowood
vote the motion carried with Ald. Colburn casting the only dis-

PARKLAND MALL SIGN - The Recording Secretary read Resolu-
tion #P. C. 37-83. ADDroval/DisaDDroval of TemDOrarV Sign.
Mr. Jim Haag stated %e temporary- sign was reqLested to-promote
the new car auto show sponsored by the Parkland Mall Merchants
Association. He felt the sign was necessary because there was
little time left to advertise, but if the show becomes an annual
event, further signs will not be necessary because there will
be ample time to advertise the event. He noted the sign would
not be illuminated, and would have a yellow background with black
letters.
"Approve". Mr. Schmidt seconded the motion, and upon a roll call

BP. C. 38-83, Approval of Permit for Dog Kennel. Mrs. Kilb
moved for adoption. Mr. Constantineau seconded the motion,
and upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously.

Arrowood noted that the Parks and Recreation Board would
address three concerns when they review the amended site plan:
1) the fence shown on the plan but not yet erected; 2) the

on the concerns expressed by the city engineers regarding the
elevation of the drainageway. Mr. Lee will review the report
further with Mr. Ohberg of DeBack Grading. It was noted that
the property owner to the east and south of the project expressed
concerning regarding erosiox. Upon a roll call vote the motion
carried unanimously.

FIRE DEPT. SUBSTATION - The Recording Secretary read Reso-

adoption. Mrs. Kilb seconded the motion. Mr. Lee expressed
concern regarding building a fire station on the fill on the
proposed site, and felt a site on Tans and Hillendale might be
more suitable. Ald. Colburn moved to defer to obtain more

ZONING OFFICER’S REPORTS
PICK ‘N SAVE - Mr. Lee reported that he had received a
request from Pick ‘n Save for permission to park a truck behind
the store for 10 days during a- soda sale in brder to maintain
a sufficient supply of the product. The truck would not be

refrigerated, and the manager advised the adjoining property
regarding “warehousing”, length of stay and setting a precedent,
and noted other businesses in the City had similar trucks parked
during a special sale. Mr Lee was advised to use his discretion
in permitting this type of request.

SEMINAR REQUEST - Zoning Officer Lee requested permission
to attend a zoning seminar in Madison on Flay 12-13, 1983,
Effective Zoning Adninistrative Techniques", using approxi-
mately $250 of the $300 budgeted by the Plan Commission for
Conferences and Conventions. Mr. Raimann moved to recomend
approval for Mr. Lee to attend the seminar in Madison. Mr
Schmidt seconded the motion, and upon a roll call vote the
motion carried unanimously.
