PLAN COMMISSION
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCTOBER 21, 1980
CITY HALL
Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 8 10 P.M.
PRESENT: Chairman Jerome J. Gottfried, Secretary Edward
Raimann, Ald. Wayne Salentine and Walter Spann. Planning
Consultant Joseph Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee
were also present.
ABSENT^ Richard Arrowood, Laura Kilb and Jack Schmidt
MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of October 7,
980 were approved as mailed.

Structure. Ald. Salentine moved for adoption. Mr. Spann

changed to provide for access from his existing driveway so
that a new driveway and culvert would not be necessary, and
that it was proposed to be constructed at the angle indicated
in order to maintain the necessary offset from Maclen Drive,

Salentine seconded the motion, and upon a roll call vote the
motion carried unanimously.

moved for adoption. Mr. Raimann seconded the motion, and upon
a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously.
CITY-OWNED PROPERTY - The Recording Secretary read Resolution
#P. C. 107-80, Approval of Sketch for Land Division - Citv-owned
Property on McShane. Mr. Spann moved for adoption. Aid.*

Salentine seconded the motion, and upon a roll call vote the

COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
MUSKEGO BEER & LIQUOR - It was noted that at the time the expansion of the conditional use was granted to Mr. Fisher for
the construction of an addition, the approval was subject to the
minimum of 25' from the stop sign at the intersection of Center

FREEDOM SQUARE IV - Mr. Peter Lentz of Hartman Builders was
present to determine the present status of Freedom Square IV and
he was advised that approval had been given for a planned unit
development. He stated that in order to continue financing, it
was advised that if he had any changes in building or site plans
would be necessary to obtain approval on a current status. He

ENVIRONMENTAL CORRIDORS AND PROPOSED SEWER SERVICE AREA -
Upon continued review of SEWRPC's proposed map, the following
recommendations were made:
(1) SW 1/4 Section 32 - Remove Bostater's Orchard from
Primary Environmental Corridor
(2) NW 1/4 Section 31 - Add Primary Environmental Corridor
from Kelsey Drive south along the drainage ditch west
of Lake Meadows.
(3) SW 1/4 - Section 30 - Remove Maney Woods from Isolated
Natural Area.
(4) NW 1/4 - Section 32 - Reduce Primary Environmental
Corridor to follow City's wetland-floodplain designated
area.
(5) NW 1/4 - Section 29 - Remove Kaebisch and Zlensky Woods
Isolated Natural Area.

Isolated Natural Area.
(7) South end of Big Muskego Lake in the vicinity of

and add Secondary Environmental CoGridor along the creek.
(9) Remove all Secondary Environmental Corridors east of
Loomis Drive and south of Ryan Drive, except that portion
which follows the creek from Big Muskego Lake into the
Town of Norway, and put all areas presently zoned
wetland-floodplain into Secondary Environmental Corridors.
(10) Proposed Sewer Service Area - It should be noted that
the hiEh school in the NW 1/4 of Section 21 located south
of Woo& Road is already sewered even though it is not
included in the Proposed Sewer Service Area.
Mr. Scott Krause requested that the gravel pit area be removed
from the proposed sewer service area in trade-off for the area
along Hwy. 00. It was noted that that area may already be needed
to trade-off for the area along Hillendale where there are
existing homes. 0

The Proposed Sewer Service Area will be discussed again at the
November 18th Plan Commission meeting.
It was noted that due to the General Election on November 4th,
the Plan Comission meeting for that night has been cancelled.
The next meeting will be on November 18, 1980.
