Planning Consultant Mangiamele presented his report Agricultural in the midst of an RS-2 development would probably dated April 17, 1979 He stated that a 20 acre parcel zoned be considered spot zoning. Yr. Herdeman stated that his property abuts other agricultural land, is beinp used for apricultural purposes, and is not zoned RS-2 at the present time #P. C 51-79,roval of Sign Request - Maass - Nuskepo Business1 seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote the Potion carried Industrial Park Mr. Lavey moved for adoption. Ald. Salentine unanimously. PaF.e 3 - Plan Com.ission April 17, 1979 e DAIRY QUEEN - The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P. C. 52-79, Denial of Sign Request. Mr. Raimann moved for adoption. Mrs. Kilb seconded the motion. Mr. Larry Thompson stated that he would be willing to eliminate the third sign and reduce the reauested signage frorr 111 sq. ft. to 74 sq. ft. if that would be more agreeable to the commission. Zoning Officer Lee reported that to meet the guidelines for sign approval that have been proposed, it would be necessary to move the sign back 40' from the existing road right-of-way, or 100' from the center of the road. Mayor Gottfried stated that he would like to propose a moratorium for the present time on sign requests in order to proposed Guidelines for Sign Approval and compare them with the give the commissioners an opportunity to further review the recommendations made by the Chamber of Comnerce and c0m.e up with meeting would be set up as soon as possible with the Architectural an approved Guidelines for Sip Approval He stated that a Subcommittee. time as the Guidelines are approved. Mr. Lavey seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously PLANNER'S REPORT MUSKEG0 BEER & LIQUOR - Planning Consultant ManF.iam.ele presented his report dated April 17, 1979 regarding the request for expansion of conditional use. Mr. Raimann reported that he had received several calls regarding the location of the driveway off Center Dr., requesting that it be moved further to the north COMMUNICATIONS & MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS LAKE DENOON EAST - It was reported that since several problems Denoon, etc. the sketch would be returned to the developer to are apparent regarding the proposed right-of-way, access to Lake take another look at it. Pape 4 - Plan Conmission April 17, 1979 Mayor Gottfried declared a short recess at 9:OZ P.M. The meeting reconvened at 9:12 P.M. FARMLAND PRESERVATION ACT - Mayor Gottfried acknowledped the meeting, and introduced Mr. Randall Melody of the Waukesha the presence of many area farmers who had been invited to attend County Park and Planning Commission who was present to outline the law as it exists and the procedure necessary to obtain any possible benefits. After the presentation, Mr. Melody fielded questions from those in attendance. Mayor Gottfried requested that those present let the City know their feelings in regard to this prograv.
