PCM19790220I CITY OF MUSKEG0 PLAN COMMISSION , MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 20, 1979 CITY HALL Acting Chairman Richard Arrowood called the meetiq to order at 8 10 P.M. PRESENT Richard Arrowood, Ald. Ed Dumke (arrived at 9:00 P.M.), Laura Kilb (arrived at 8 25 P.M.), Fred Lavey and Wayne Salentine. Planning Consultant Joseph Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee were also present. ABSENT: Mayor Jerome Gottfried, Secretary Edward Raimann MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of February 6, 1979 were approved as mailed. PERSONAL APPEARANCE RICHARD WITTBROT - Mr. Wittbrot appeared to discuss his previous request for legal lot status. The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P. C. 155-78, Recomendation to Deny Legal Lot Status, which was adopted September 19, 1978. Mr. Wittbrot requested that the comissioners reconsider their decision Zoning Officer Lee indicated there are three alternatives - legal lot status, rezoning to R-2 which would make the lot conformine, or requesting to be included in the RS-2 district. Mr. Wittbrot explained his hardships involved Planning Consultant Mangiamele was requested to review this matter and present a report at the next meeting. OLD BUSINESS: BOHRER'S MEATS & APPLIANCES - Resolution #P. C. 9-79 to Approve Amendment to Sign Approval which was deferred at the last meeting was read by the-Recokding Secretary Also read was a letter fron: Ronnie Bohrer dated February 9, 1979, stating that Lee's report dated 2120179 was presented, along with pictures of the size of the changeable letter sign is 4' x 9'. C. 16-79, Approval of Certified Survey Map. Mr. Lavey moved for adoption. Mrs. Kilb seconded the motion. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously. JAMES & DARLENE WIESNER - The Recording Secretary read Resolution VP. C 17-79. Referral to Plannine Consultant. Re- zoning Request. Mrs. Kilb moved for adoptio;. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously. LAKE WAUBEESEE ESTATES - The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P C. 19-79, Approval of Preliminary Plat. Mr Salentine moved for adoption. Mrs. Kilb seconded the motion. Planning Consultant Mangiamele presented his report dated February 20, 1979. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously. HARBOR POINT - The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P. C. 20-79, Approval of Final Plat. Mr. Lavey moved for adoption. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS There will be an architectural subcommittee meeting held at 7 00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 6, 1979 to review the guidelines for signs. At the regular meeting starting at 8:OO P.M., there will be a film shown on Street Graphics, to which the Chamber of Commerce will be invited to attend. February 27, 1979 to consider the petition of several residents It was noted that the public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Commission for rezoning certain lands in that area, has been in the Lake Denoon Area and the recommendation of the Plan changed to Tuesday, March 13, 1979 at 7:OO P.M. at City Hall. A petition for rezoning the Brodel property in the Lake Denoon R-1 to Agricultural, and was referred to Planning Consultant area was received from Hellie Brodel requesting rezoninp from Mangiamele for review and recomendation. Mangiamele Plan Commission should consider requesting a small land dedication This plat is considered satisfactory--however, the at North Shore Drive and East Shore Drive for future road improvement (as the misting intersection presents some circulation problems). A completely new plat has been submitted to address those problems. Racine County has approved the new plat conditioned on proper dedication and boundary identification of the outlot, a specific description of the public boat/pedestrian easement and a uniform set back on West View Dr. The consultant recommends approval of the plat with those conditions. Mangiamele SUBJET: Final Plat - HARBOR POINT After a review of the final plat as related to the preliminary plat submitted and approved by the City Plan Cmission, it is the opinion of the City Planning Consultant that final plat is substantially the same as the preliminary plat.
