PCM19781107CITY OF MUSKEGO PLAN COMMISSION MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 7, 1978 CITY HALL Mayor Jerome Gottfried called the meeting to order at 8:26 P.M. PRESENT: Chairman Jerome Gottfried, Secretary Edward Raimann, Ald sultant Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee were also present. Ed Dumke, Fred Lavey and Wayne Salentine Planning Con- ABSENT^ Richard Arrowood and Laura Kilb MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of October 17, 1978 were approved as mailed. OLD BUSINESS : that Resolution #P. C 185 -78, Disapproval of Revised Preliminary October 17th meeting to allow Planning Consultant Mangiamele an Plat was on the floor; however, action had been deferred at the opportunity to review this plat with Racine County. Dr. Mangiamele reported that he had been advised by Racine County that the plat had been withdrawn and would be re-submitted. Ald. Dumke moved to table Resolution #P. C. 185-78. Mr. Salentine seconded the motion, and upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously. Ron Badertscher - The Recording Secretary read Resolution Mr Salentine moved for adoption. Mr. Raimann seconded the motion. Zoning Officer Lee reported that Mr. Badertscher had requested a change in the building elevation to replace the brick on the northeast and the northwest elevations with decorative block, and after discussion, this was permitted. After further discussion, Mr Badertscher agreed that no parking would be allowed on the Apollo Drive side and that the parking on the Mercury Drive side would be for visitors only, and would be set back 10' from the lot line as required. Mayor Gottfried informed Mr. Backus, Parkland Mall Leasing Agent, that a building permit would not be issued until the trees originally planted in the triangle to the northarereplaced and provisions made to screen the garbage containers which are dis- tributed around the mall. Mr. Backus stated there are no plans to have garbage containers on the north side of the building and was hoped that the post office would be in operation by February 1st. the dumpsters there now are only temporary. Mayor Gottfried stated that this'pro- posal was sent back to the Plan Commission for further consid- eration since the Common Council did not agree that this area this matter again to determine if the best use of that parcel should be residential He requested the Commissioners to review would be commercial or residential so that a recommendation can be made to the Common Council at the next meeting. Mr. Salentine also requested that this report include the feasibility of a park in this area.
