PLAN COMMISSION
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 19, 1978 CITY HALL
Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 8:34 P.M.
PRESENT: Chairman Jerome Gottfried, Ald. Ed Dumke, Richard
Arrowood, Laura Kilb and Wayne Salentine. Planning Consultant
Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee were also present.
ABSENT: Secretary Edward Raimann and Fred Lavey
MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of September 5,
1978 were approved as mailed.
NEW BUSINESS:
ERDMANN'S TIRE SERVICE - It was noted that the architectural
sub-comittee met just Drior to this regular meetine to consider

Approval/Disapproval of Sign. Mr. Arrowood moved for adoption

with Mayor Gottfried casting the only dissenting vote.

DAIRY QUEEN - It was noted that the architectural sub-
comnittee met just prior to this regular meeting to consider a
sign request for Dairy Queen at S73 W16770 Janesville Road.

DAVID A. MEINERZ - Mr. Lee reported that because of the
sewer intercepter line proposed along the edge of this property,
and the distance of the sewer from this property, it would be
necessary to discuss this proposed land division further with
Mr. Meinerz.
COMMUNICATIONS & MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
Discussion was held regarding the requiring of asphalt for
existing parking lots. Zoning Officer Lee stated that enforcement
of asphalt requirements would be easier if a bond were required.

SUBJECT: OAKS OF NORWAY - Addn. No. 1, Town of Norway - Preliminary Plat Approval.
This plat has been reviewed from the standpoint of layout and
drainageway provision. It has been the experience of the City of hskego and
other communities than 20' drainageways are inadequate both from the standpoint
of accessibility with large machinery and from the standpoint of developing pro-
per grades and landscaping. Forty-foot works out well and has become our standard
requirement. The Town of Norway may want to considered improving their standards.
