tion advised the commission that one of their primary concerns
is to preserve an adequate waterway and the large marsh area to
filter the water which comes down from the north of Kelsey.
There is great concern with siltation and nutrients from the farm
lands in small inland lakes like Lake Denoon. The Association
has been working for several years with Jeff Brode of the DNR
and A1 Erdman, soil conservatioqs,t with the Waukesha County pro-
gram, and suggest that the City contact them regarding any
development that would affect the lake. The Board of Directors
of the Lake Denoon Advancement Association would like to see the
way for the protection of Lake Denoon and that of the City.

Nettesheim Farm. Mr. Pischke was present and reviewed the re-
port. The Park Master Plan shows 40 acres designated for park
purposes in the area of the proposed subdivision. An area has
been designated west of the drainage ditch for a proposed park
dedication. However, the board feels that it would need addi-
tional land above and beyond the Mettesheim property i.n order to
develop the type of park originally designated for this area,
because the area proposed is not large enough to accommodate the
items noted in the park board's report. The board also felt that
a playground with parking would be best suited in a small portion
east of the drainage ditch and so noted it on the plan. The
board would be interested in the dedication or purchase of

COMMUNICATIONS E MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
E Radtke regarding an operational plan for the proposed Parkland
The Recording Secretary read a communication from Schober
Mall Roller Skating Rink to be built in the area of the Parkland
Mall now occupied by the Cinema theater. Mayor Cottfried ob-
tained the opinion from City Attorney Buckley that this use was
permitted in a 8-4 district. Mr. Schober advised thi.s was
brought before the commission because of their interest in Park-
land Mall and to get any ideas on possible pitfalls on this
type of operation. He stated it would be J recreational facility
for the people of the City and would not be large enough to draw
from the entire region. I-le stated that if no action was necessary
by the Plan Commission, he would present a plan to the building
inspector to remodel the present cinema area to the roller skating
rink. Since this is part of a planned unit development, Jerry
Lee will discuss this proposal further with City Attorney Bucltley.
WOODLAND MEADOWS - Mr. Ray Gray presented a revised plan for
the west portlxofthis subdivision, indicating that the
requirement?, and the number of lots reduced. He also stated
extension of Moorland Road had now been shown as per the county's
the dedicatlon of the detention area has been submitted to the
Public Works Committee. Mr. Pischke reported that the 3 acre
park shown on the plat coincides with a 3 acre park shown on the
Parks Master Plan for that area.
Jerry Lee announced that there would be a meeting held by
Waukesha County Park and Planning at 2:OO P.M., Tuesday, ,June 27
at New Berlin City Hall in the Council Chambers with the City
of New Berlin, City of Muskego and Waukesha County to discuss
the extension of Moorland Road.
had been advised that there was some concern about the parking of
trucks in front of his building. Mr. Lee reported that at the
time of the expansion of the conditional use to permit construc-
tion of another building, there was no expansion requested for
additional parking. Mayor Gottfried explained that since the
use of the land was no different from the use approved by the
Plan Commission, an amended site plan should be submitted to this
commission for consideration.

Lavey seconded the motion and the motion carried.

The sketch as submitted indicates the total development of some 136'acres of
land adjacent to Lake Denoon. If this land were subdivided strictly on a RS-2 basis,
at 20,000 sq. ft. per lot, approximately 202 of the land would be used for roads--thus
allowing only a maximum of 236 lots or less; or 236 dwelling units. The proposed
sketch shows 294 dwelling units -- 252 more than permitted under a straight subdivis-

The dedication of some 30 acres of unbuildable land would therefore be expected
