Planning Consultant Joseph Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee were also present. ABSENT: Fred Lavey MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of May 2, 1978 were approved as mailed. The property owners in the immediate area will be contacted re- garding the possibility of removing the proposed road from the plan between the Kastello and Ferguson properties off of Gold Drive. WALTER VESBACH - SKETCH OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT - Planning Consultant Mangiamele presented his report dated May 16, 1978. be required. Mr. Cunningham was advised that if the use of the land was to be of that parcel from B-2 would be required. Mayor Gottfried stated changed from the original concept, a petition to rezone a portion that if construction is not started on the Wildflower Development by June 1, 1978, the Sewer Committee will consider taking the sewers away. ZONING OFFICER'S REPORTS BOHRER'S MEATS E APPLIANCES - Zoning Officer Lee reported that the construction of a second sign is in process. and at the tine of application for the permit, removal of the first sign will be requested. The sketch appears to be adequate in design. However, an area of wetland flood plain of about 1 acre needs to be considered. It is therefore suggested that an area of natural retention be considered as a definite more be properly landscaped and dedicated to the City if this proposal possibility in terms of this development and that that area of 1-acre or is ultimately to be approved. Water retention and detention areas are especfally important in the de- velopment of the City of bskego. Precence-has been set in other develop- ments where developers have been requested to make.these provisions. The City Council must of course consider as to whether sewer connections can be provided to this property. Mangiamele, City Planning Consultant SUBJECT: WILDFLOWEX - 10-Acre parcel - Sketch Plan 0 " The proposal for residential development appears appropriate. It is as is the land adjafcent to it. therefore recommended that the present B-2 zoning be changed to RS-2 It is further recornended that a road from Racine Avenue to the proposed Schaefer Drive be laid out with a 'temporary Cul-de-sac where the'road meets Schaefer; Lot sizes should be a minimum of 20,000 sq. ft. and approximately 110'in width and 180' in depth. It might be possible to transfer sewer allocations from the east part of Wildflower to this parcel--this depends upon the decision of the City Council.
