MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 6, 1977

Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 8:17 P.M.
PRESEHT: Chairman Jerome Gottfried, Laura Kilb, Fred Lavey and
hyne Salentine. Planning Consultant Joseph ManEiamele and
Toning Officer Lee were also present.
ABSENT: Secretary Edwzrd Rajmann and Richard Arrowood.
MINUTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of August 16, 1977,
were approved as mailed.
OLE BUSIllESS :
LAKEVICW GARDENS - It was noted by the Commission that Kesolu-
tion i;P. C. 117-77 (Ap~rovai/Disauproval) of Cipn. Lakeview
Gardens, is on the^ flobk. however, action was deferred at the
last meeting so that this request could be discussed with the new
owners. Nrs. Kilb moved to defer action on Resolution BP. C. 117-77
until the next meeting. Mr. Salentine seconded the motion, and the
motion carried upon a voice vote.

POPULATIOIJ STUDY - Planning Consultant Manpjamele presented
a population study prepared August, 1977, showing the projected
population of Muskego in 1978 of 15,193, increasing to 28,570 by
the year 2000. The average growth rate from 1975 to 2000 is g%/year.
Chairman Gottfried explained that the study was necessary in
order to discuss the possibility of having the Oak Creek Purifica-
tion Plant supply municipal water to Muskego, New Berlin and Franklin,
at some future date.
MARLAJI MEADOWS - Although not on the agenda, Frank Walsh,
Lannon Drive, questioned the status of Marlan Meadows. Chairman
Gottfried stated that the Plan Commission is waiting for a report
from the Park Board regarding the proposed parlc. After receipt of

SYATE SHNU AND GRAVEL - Chairman Gottfried stated that at

Discussions will be held with the Plan Commission and the Common
Council rezarding the possibility of issuing a license to the
operator based on a yearly review of tlleir restoration to see
if they are restoring it as they planned. It was suggested that
the Commission members give this some thought before the next
meeting.
