SUEUECT: Additional storage area - conditional pant. P.C. 90-77
DATE: July 13, 1977
Mr. Gerald Loebel.
The planner has visited the site and the proposed 1ocation.of
the proposed building. It is in the planner’s opinion that permission
for additional storage area should not be granted. Furthermore, it is
advisable that the plan commission review the original conditional use
grant for the purpose of either upgrading the present use or curtailing
that use.
a
It must be kept in mind that the property in question is -on or
near the edge of an agriculturally zoned district which superimposes a
wetland/floodplain area that extends into a RCE Country Estate District.
RCE is intend to preserve rural setting and mintain.a low density both
in terms of people and buildings. It is also intended for the develop-
ment of “high quality ‘estate’ or gentlemen’s farm“ type of development.
The scattered buildings on the site detracts from the description
given by the zoning ordinance for this type of use. The manner in which
the storage is presently being maintained appears to be incompatible with
the intend use and development defined in the district. Extension of
this use operates contrary to a harmonious use adjacent to wetland/flood-
plain and the environment of Big bskego Lake.
