MINVTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 5, 1974
CITY HALL
Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 8:lO p. M.
PRESEKT: Chairman Jerome Gottfried, Secretary Alvin Basse, Kenneth
Czaplewski, Blair Dixon, Edward Raimann and Donald Yahr. Planning
Consultant Joseph Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee were also
present. Ald. Paul Schaumberg arrived at 8:15 p. M.
MINWES: The minutes of the previous meeting of January 15, 1974,
were approved as mailed.
AGENDA ITEMS
DAMASKE ELECIRONICS - It was noted by the Commission that Reso-
lution #P. C. 149-73. Sign ADDrOVal - Damaske Electronics, is on the
floor, however, action was deferred at the last meeting pending
revisions in the lighting, color scheme and size of the proposed sign.
Mr. Charles Damaske and Mr. Ray Cvecko, representative of Federal
Commission's review a photograph of the building with the original
Sign and Signal Corp., were present. Mr. Cvecko submitted for the
proposed sign thereon as well as sketches of a 3' x 18' sign with the
advised that he would prefer the original 3' x 20' sign which had
lightning bolt outlined in red rather than solid red. Mr. Damaske

Upon a roll call vote, Mr. Dixon, Ald. Schaumberg, and Mr.
Yahr voted *'yest', Mayor Gottfried, Mr. Basse, Mr. Czaplewski, and Mr.
Raimann voted "no" and the motion to adopt Resolution #P. C. 149-73
was defeated.
THE RIDGES - The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P. C. 5-74,
Approval of Revised Preliminary Plat for The Ridges. Mr. Czaplewski
moved for adoption. Ald. Schaumberg seconded the motion.

PROPOSED ZONING MAP PROTESTS - The following individual protests
against the proposed zoning district map were reviewed:
1 - William Honeck, S106 W16480 Loomis Road, opposed the rezoning
of a 3/4 acre parcel of his property in Section 34 from Agriculture
with an Overlay for Highway Service back to Agriculture. It was noted
by the Commission that his plans to construct a custard stand which
had been submitted in 1971 had not materialized. It was the Commission's
decision to request Mr. Honeck to appear at the next meeting to discuss
this situation.
