MINVTES OF MEETING HEID JANUARY 15, 1974
CITY HALL.
Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 8:08 P. M.
PRESEm: Chairman Jerome Gottfried, Secretary Alvin Basse, Kenneth
Consultant Joseph Mangiamele and Zoning Officer Gerald Lee were
ezaplewski, Blair Dixon, Edward Raimann and Donald Yahr. Planning
also present. Ald. Paul Schaumberg arrived at 8:15 P. M.
MINVTES: The minutes of the previous meeting of December 18, 1973,
were approved as mailed.
AGENDA ITEMS
DAMASKE ELECTRONICS - It was noted by the Commission that Reso-
lution #P. C. 149-73, Sign Approval - Damaske Electronics, is on
of concerns that the combination of colors and lighting might be
the floor, however, action was deferred at the last meeting because
too bright, that possibly some type of sleeve over the tubes could re-
duce the output or possibly the wattage of the tube itself could be
reduced, and that possibly a smaller sign would be more compatible
with the building. The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P. C.
Mr. Tom Ely, manager of Federal Sign & Signal Corp., appeared
to discuss these concerns with the Commission. In answer to questions
from the Commission, Mr. Ely advised that the sign will be constructed
of plexiglass, that the lettering will be highlighted against the face
of the background, that they would not object to outlining the
on the plan, that the lightning bolt symbolizes the electronics
lightning bolt in red rather than having it solidly red as indicated

COAST TO COAST - It was noted by the Commission that Resolution
#P. C. 151-73, Sign Approval - Coast to Coast, is on the floor,
however, action was deferred at the last meeting pending consideration
of a smaller sign as well as a sign which would be more compatible with
the architecture of the building.
Mr. Jack Block, representative for Coast to Coast stores, was
present and advised the Commission that the sign in question is an exis-
ting sign being moved from the Hales Corners location to Muskego, that
the sign is owned by the operators of the Coast to Coast store and that
to make a new sign would create a hardship, that the background of the

FRANCIS HENNEBERRY - The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P. c. 0 2-74. ADDroval of Retention Pond - Francis Henneberrv. Mr. Raimann
moved for adoption. Mr. Basse seconded the motion and upon a roll call
vote the motion carried unanimously.
TINTI & DAEDA - The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P. C. 3-74,
Referral of Rezoning Petition to Planning Consultant. Mr. Basse moved
for adoption. Ald. Schaumberg seconded the motion and the motion carried
Radtke, agent for Tinti and Daeda, had advised that he would not appear
upon a voice vote. Zoning Officer Lee reported that Attorney Jack

STAN A ZDANCZEWICZ - The Recording Secretary read Resolution #P. C.
4-74. Approval of Extension of Conditional Use Grant #62 for Dog Kennel.
Mr. Dixon moved for adoption. Mr. Yahr seconded the motion and-the
motion carried unanimously upon a roll call vote.
COMMUNICATIONS & MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
HALLADA CONSTRUCTION CO. - Mr. Dixon brought to the attention of
place a stop order on the construction of the building at S63 W13563
the Plan Commission that he had requested Building Inspector Lee to
Janesville Road owned by Hallada Construction Co. He pointed out that
the alterations were exceeding those permitted in the Plan Cbmmission's
Resolution #P. C. 137-73 and that the construction was not in accord

represents several property owners in the vicinity of the Hallada
Construction Co. He reviewed for the Commission all Plan Commission

well as communications which had been directed to Mr. Hallada from the
building inspection department and the mayor's office. He requested
that the Plan Commission review with the city attorney if this use
can be discontinued and the use of the building brought into conformity
with the regulations of this residential district, that the stop order
remain in force and affect and the owner be instructed to restore the
property to its original state, and that some concerted action be
taken toward having the owner clean up the premises.

PLANNER'S REPORTS
SANDY BEACH SUBDIVISION - Planning Consultant Mangiamele reviewed
proposed by Robert & Judith Klenz. Attorney Joe Wimmer, representative
report and recommendation concerning the Sandy Beach Subdivision
of the Klenzes, advised that the development would not be economically
feasible unless 18 lots could be created. There was discussion of
what affect the straightening of the curve on Woods Road would have on
with his engineers, Jahnke & Jahnke, as well as with the city engineers,
this subdivision. Attorney Wimmer advised that Mr. Klenz will check
Ruekert & Mielke, for determination of number of lots possible.
KRISTIN DOWNS - Planning Consultant Mangiamele reviewed report
and recommendation concerning the Kristin Downs planned development. A
communication dated January 15, 1974, directed to the Commission from
Herbert Puetzer was read by the Recording Secretary and placed on file.
Mayor Gottfried advised that a recommendation to the Common Council
concerning the petition for planned development will be considered by
the Plan Commission at the next meeting.

SCHAEFER FARMS - Planning Consultant Mangiamele reviewed report
and recommendation concerning The Schaefer Parms proposed planned
development. He pointed out that he had not included in his written
report concern for the existing trees.

Ald. Richard Knudsen urged the Commissioners to take action on
the zoning district map and to possibly hold additional meetings to
consider some of the protests against the map.
ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Raimann moved for adjournment at 11:OO P. M. Mr.
Fixon seconded the motion and the motion carried.
