PRESENT: Chairman Jerome Gottfried, Secretary Alvin Basse, Clark Zoning Officer Gerald Lee, Planning Consultant Joseph Mangiamele, Barry, Kenneth Czaplewski, Edward Raimann and Ald. Paul Schaumberg. Donald Yahr arrived at 10:40 P. M. and Assistant Planning Consultant Dennis Bianchi were also present. MINUI'ES: The minutes of the previous meeting of October 17, 1972, were approved as mailed. PERSONAL APPEARANCES """"" RAY J. WERNSMAN - Mr. Wernsman, W136 S6468 Sherwood Court, appeared seeking architectural approval of a 60' x 32' second, Wernsman has agreed to combine two residential lots on Sherwood Court, garage structure. It was noted by the Commission that at their last meeting they had deferred action to give the developers an opportunity to appear to discuss the removal of the swimming pool and clubhouse from the planned development and to give the architects an opportunity to submit a more attractively designed pumphouse building. The Commission reviewed four pumphouse designs which had been prepared by Paschke and Associates. Ald. Schaumberg moved to approve the design which had been prepared November 6, 1972. Mr. Raimann seconded the motion and the motion carried. Page 2 - Plan Commission November 7; 1972 Mr. Lawent advised that the swimming pool and clubhouse had been eliminated from the development when the apartment rental units had been changed to the condominium plan, that it was the opinion of the developers that the purchasers of the condominiums would be potentially elderly persons or young couples who would prefer not to pay the approximately $35 extra per month for upkeep of a clubhouse and pool, that the developers have added monetarily to the units in lieu of the recreational facilities with such items as frost free.refrigerators and self-cleaning ovens, that the price of the units range from $24,900 to $27,900. be willing to consider the addition of tennis courts in the development and Mr. Paschke advised that the tennis courts could possibly be donated to :he city for park purposes. located on the south side of Highway 24 near the acreage which will be Ald. It was noted by the Commission that the petition re- questing this change in status of Kurtze Lane had been referred to the city attorney and Public Works Committee in addition to the Plan Commission. November 7, 1972 MAPLE HILL ESTATES - The Commission reviewed the final plat for Made Hill Estates in the Town of Vernon which falls within Muskeeo's Casper September 12, 1972. It was noted by the Commission that the exira-territorial jurisdiction which had been prepared by Richard"- preliminary plat for this subdivision was approved by the Commission June 20th, 1972. and approval by the engineer, Clark Barry. Mr. Czaplewski seconded the motion and the motion carried. Mr. Basse moved to approve this final plat subject to review DURHAM MEADOWS AND HALE PARK MEADOWS - The Commission reviewed a design for the pumphouses. one to be located in the Durham Meadows development and- one in the Hale Park Meadows development. It was noted by the Commission that the locations for the pumphouses had been approved in June, 1972, however, the design at that time had been rejected. as submitted on the plan dated November 3, 1972. Mr. Basse seconded the motion and the motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg moved to approve the design for the pumphouse SUB-COMMITTEE - In addition to Planning Consultant Mangiamele, Zoning Officer Lee and Himself, Mayor Gottfried invited all members to serve on the sub..committee to meet with Mr. Donald Polzin in regard to the development of the Loomis property south of the city's industrial park after this regular meeting.
